    Abstract: The present disclosure is drawn to oral pharmaceutical compositions and dosage forms containing select testosterone esters and related methods. In one embodiment of the present invention, an oral pharmaceutical composition for administration to subjects in need of testosterone is provided. The composition comprises a testosterone ester and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier. The testosterone ester can have the structure wherein R is —C13H25O or —C14H27O. One or both of the esters can be present in the pharmaceutical composition. The composition is formulated such that upon single dose administration to a group of human subject, the composition provides a mean serum testosterone Cavg t12-t24 that is within about 35% to about 70% of the mean serum testosterone Cavg t0-t24.

    Abstract: The invention provides a method for the production of a metal, the method comprising the steps of mixing an oxide of the metal with a reducing agent comprising a Group II metal or a hydride thereof in the presence of water and/or an organic solvent, heating the mixture of oxide and reducing agent, leaching the resulting material with water; and washing the leached material with a dilute aqueous acid. Typically, the metal is a transition or rare earth metal, the oxide of the metal is an oxide of a transition or rare earth metal, and the reducing agent is selected from calcium or magnesium or the hydrides of calcium and magnesium. The metal is generally obtained at a purity of around 98.5-99.1%, and the method is much quicker than the methods of the prior art and has a much lower carbon footprint, thereby providing an option which is more sustainable, environmentally friendly, and accommodative for industries.

    Abstract: In accordance with one embodiment of the invention, there is provided an improved disposable aluminum pan for use with a chaffing rack and a pair of half pans. The pan includes a base terminating to a sidewall and an rim, which terminates to a rolled bead. The pan includes an inside length measured longitudinally across opposing sidewalls from the inside edge of the rim. The inside length is configured to be shorter than a corresponding inside length of an unimproved pan. The pair of half pans when nested side by side in the improved pan can have adjacent sides of the half pans lay without overlap. The pan also allows for a lid to fit better. The pan also includes a deeper well such that the bottom is positioned closer to burners in the chaffing rack and allows more water to be added during the heating process.
