  • Publication number: 20130247137
Abstract: A scalable and flexible system and method for automatically configuring and re-configuring electronic security interfaces comprising video, audio, wireless hardware and software capable of capturing video and audio designed to be a true “plug-n-play” for an end-user. The system is configured to incorporate almost any type of camera, battery technology, storage device, wifi or cellular technology, microphone and provides access to the web in real-time to add applications, for example, facial recognition web services, real-time comparing of any previously identified and stored object etc. In addition, the system and method is capable of taking inputs of most custom user-deployment application requirement and generating a set of hardware to fulfill a user's particular requirements.

  • Publication number: 20050214355
Abstract: Sterically stabilized cationic liposomes (SSCL) encapsulating a K type oligodeoxynucleotide (ODN) including a CpG motif are disclosed. These SSCL encapuslating a K type ODN can be used to effectively deliver the ODN to a cell. A novel method is also disclosed for producing the SSCL encapsulating the K type ODN. Administration of the SSCL encapsulating a K type ODN and a chemotherapeutic agent, such as a chimeric molecule comprising a targeting molecule selected from the group consisting of an IL-13, and an anti-IL-13 receptor antibody; and an effector molecule selected from the group consisting of a Pseudomonas exotoxin, a Diphtheria toxin, and a radionuclide, can be used to dramatically reduce the growth of solid tumors.

  • Publication number: 20050142105
Abstract: The invention provides uses and methods for alleviating respiratory tract symptoms of allergy, asthma, and of viral, bacterial, fungal and parasitic infections by shifting inappropriate TH2 responses to TH1 responses by administering IL-13 receptor-targeted immunotoxins to the respiratory tract.

  • Publication number: 20050002918
Abstract: A method of treating tumors that express a receptor for IL-13 is disclosed. The method involves directly introducing into the tumor a cytotoxin that targets the IL-13 receptor. The cytotoxic agent can be introduced by convection-enhanced delivery through a suitable catheter or by other means. Where a convection-enhanced catheter is employed, the method involves positioning the tip of a catheter at least in close proximity to the tumor. After the catheter is positioned, it is connected to a pump which delivers the active agent through the catheter tip to the tumor. A pressure gradient from the tip of the catheter is maintained during infusion.
