  • Patent number: 11191678
Abstract: The present invention discloses a method of manufacturing a diaper that has multiple moisture sensing elements on interior side of its bottom impermeable layer or on any surface of the top permeable layer. The moisture sending elements are made by spraying conductive ink on a moving sheet of either the bottom impermeable layer or the top permeable layer, before other layers of the diaper are attached. Spraying of conductive ink on the moving sheet causes parallel lines of conductive inks to be formed on the layer. The parallel lines of conductive ink run through the entire length of either of the layers and are designed to get connected with a detecting device. When a user urinates inside the diaper, the moisture causes a closed circuit between at least two of the parallel lines of conductive inks. These formations of closed circuits, between parallel lines of conductive inks, are detected by the detecting device.

  • Publication number: 20210282710
Abstract: A remote incontinence detection/monitoring system is provided with its methods of operation and manufacturing. The system comprises a diaper embedded with markers that are each associated with a dedicated frequency. Each marker is operable to relay or reflect towards an external receiver, or absorb or interfere with the wireless signal tuned to its dedicated frequency that is emitted from an external transmitter. When in contact with liquid, a marker loses its ability to relay, reflect, absorb, or interfere with the wireless signal tuned to its dedicated frequency, indicating the diaper is saturated on the marker's spot. A method of manufacturing diapers embedding components for said system is provided wherein each diaper manufactured from a same roll of materials will be embedded with the same number of markers reacting to the same serial of pre-set dedicated frequencies with not a single frequency missing or repeating within each and every diaper.

  • Patent number: 10928344
Abstract: A system for sensing wetness in an ordinary diaper includes a disposable sensor unit which has a sensor strip and support structure. The sensor strip has electrical circuit with conductive elements as wetness sensors printed on the bottom surface of the strip, wherein a closed electrical circuit is formed when an amount of body fluid is present that subsequently triggers an alerting device. The support structure has multiple slots cut out on it to expose conductive elements to urine and also keeps the conductive elements at a specific height from the diaper's padding such that urine content retained by a soaked diaper do not raise alarms.

  • Publication number: 20210015200
Abstract: A motorized personal transportation article is described which transports a person by wearing a pair of power-assisted motorized shoes, wherein the shoes provide an increase in a user's walking speed in a forward walking action through supplementary motion of moving or propelling means based on an intended walking speed of the user, such that when a user's intended walking speed changes or when a user intends to substantially decelerate or immobilize, the speed of the supplementary motion can be adjusted before the step is completed. The sole of each of the shoes houses at least one plate coupled to moving or propelling means such as conveyor assemblies, and the moving or propelling means are designed to neutralize forces acting to disrupt the operation of the moving or propelling means during a forward walking action or the balance and comfort of the user.

  • Publication number: 20200306100
Abstract: “Incontinence detection system” is the title of our invention, described herein, which is designed to work along with any commercially available brief, for people having incontinence issues. The purpose of this complete incontinence management system is to provide a cost-effective solution by using sensor technology that automatically alerts caregivers to change the residents' diapers at precisely the right time. It uses a sensing system that wirelessly transmits individual wetness alerts to an application on a remote device. The system is ready for immediate use when detached from the soaked diaper, and brief changes are made at appropriate times offering the highest level of care to residents. The Pod allows for faster service delivery, less time spent in a wet brief, bringing great relief to residents and caregivers alike.

  • Patent number: 10303496
Abstract: The invention discloses a system for accessing and viewing Internet content on a portable device by means of a proxy server. The server requests web content, renders it and sends compressed image parts to the device. In order for the device to be cost-competitive, its processing operations are generally limited to decompressing image parts and displaying them. The server sends information to the device that allows it to locally create, display and manage text boxes, in which the user can type immediately. As a user types into a local text box, text input data is communicated to the server and processed therein before further requests for web content. By simultaneously managing multiple text boxes locally, the present invention reduces instances of data transfer from the server to the device, which decreases the likelihood of lag and improves the performance of the device.

  • Publication number: 20190157483
Abstract: The present invention discloses a solar module, preferably for use within a solar energy concentrator system. The solar module comprises multiple solar cells that are divided into sets. The solar cells constituting a set form a parallel circuit, while the sets are connected together in series. The sets are arranged such that they each generate substantially the same amount of current despite solar cells potentially receiving an uneven diffusion of solar radiation. The voltage of each set can thus be added together without yielding any significant efficiency loss. In a further embodiment, electrical contacts and conductors with relatively high resistance on the solar cells are located on their back sides, coupled to conductors with relatively low resistance on a PC board substrate incorporated as a substrate to the solar module. This circuit reduces the overall resistance of the circuit, especially when integrated to a solar energy concentrator system.

  • Publication number: 20190154607
Abstract: A system for sensing wetness in an ordinary diaper comprises a disposable sensor unit that can be adhered to an absorbent layer of a diaper, and comprises a sensor strip and a support structure. The sensor strip has electrical circuit with conductive elements as wetness sensors printed on the bottom surface of the strip, wherein a closed electrical circuit is formed when an amount of body fluid is present that subsequently triggers an alerting device. The support structure has multiple slots cut out on it to expose conductive elements to body fluids and also keeps the conductive elements at a specific height from the absorbent layer of the diaper such that no alert is generated because of the body fluid content retained by a top permeable layer of the diaper after absorbing the body fluid. The thickness of the support structure is maintained such that the height created between the conductive elements and the top permeable layer of the diaper, does not cause capillary action.

  • Publication number: 20190013776
Abstract: The present invention discloses a solar concentrator for supplying energy. Sunlight is redirected by a concentrating reflector toward a target area, whereat concentrated sunlight is collected and converted by a solar panel. As the target area changes position based on daily and seasonal solar movement, the position of the solar panel is adjustable to track the target area. The solar panel is guided by a repositioning mechanism, and both the repositioning mechanism and the solar panel are supported by a mechanical structure. The present invention discloses various embodiments for the repositioning mechanism and mechanical structure to enable tracking the target area two-dimensionally with minimal efficiency losses.

  • Publication number: 20180180882
Abstract: A head mounted display device is capable of providing user a type of augmented reality (AR) experience with private access of the augmentation elements as represented by computer-generated (CG) contents. The core of the device comprises an optical combiner and a layer of photochromic materials or other means alike that changes from transparent to opaque when subjected to appropriate conditions, such that an occlusion mask pattern occupying a small portion of the said layer is created with dimension and position correspond to the CG content. The device allows user to selectively conceal the CG content from the surrounding people while keeping a sight of the real world whose elements are augmented or supplemented.

  • Publication number: 20180177644
Abstract: A system for sensing wetness in an ordinary diaper comprises a disposable sensor strip that adhered to a diaper's padding, and a portable yet non-disposable alerting device. The sensor strip has electrical circuit with conductive elements as wetness sensors, wherein a closed electrical circuit is formed when an amount of body fluid is present that subsequently triggers the alerting device. The sensor strip is electrically coupled to the alerting device with a portion wrapped around the alerting device, wherein the position of the wrapped portion is secured by the indentation or ribs around the outer surface of the alerting device. Locations of the adhesives on the sensor strip are designed in a way that the alerting device is fastened to the outer surface of the diaper without skin contact to the wearer and without contact to any adhesive, such that the alerting device is ready for immediate reuse.
