  • Patent number: 4494369
Abstract: In known spinning pots the barrel has an integral base and while the barrel portion may withstand stresses caused by centrifugal forces exerted by the wet cake expanding, the flat bottom base is unable to do so. When discarding the pot, the base also has to be discarded. The present invention provides a spinning pot in which the base is formed separate from a cylindrical barrel and the two are connected by a locating driving spigot. Additionally the base is provided with a bushing in two parts, the wearing part is removably fitted on the main part which is integral with the base.
