  • Publication number: 20250063467
Abstract: A building controller stores a default configuration for a wireless interface. The wireless interface is configured with the default configuration and the building controller establishes a wireless network connection with a configuration tool via a default wireless access point. The building controller receives an updated configuration from the configuration tool. After receiving the updated configuration, the building controller configures the wireless interface with the updated configuration, and terminates the wireless network connection with the default wireless access point. With the wireless interface configured with the updated wireless configuration, the building controller attempts to establish a wireless network connection via the wireless interface with a remote device using the updated wireless configuration.

  • Publication number: 20250063088
Abstract: Information may be downloaded to one or more of a plurality of building control devices over a network. A method includes identifying IDs of each of the plurality of building control devices to receive the downloaded information. The information that is to be downloaded is divided into a number of packets. Each of the packets are sequentially broadcast over the network, wherein the packets if received collectively download the information to each of the plurality of building control devices. Which, if any, of the plurality of building control devices that did not acknowledge receiving one or more of the packets, is identified. When one or more of the plurality of building control devices did not acknowledge receiving one or more of the packets, one or more unicast messages are sent over the network addressed to those building control devices.

  • Patent number: 11579578
Abstract: A controller that is configured to control operation of a building component may be programmed using a programming tool to build a controller logic that utilizes sub-structures organized within a hierarchal tree, which may then be downloaded to the controller. The controller is operated via the controller logic such that the controller controls operation of the building component. The programming tool may subsequently be used to update one or more of the sub-structures. The one or more updated sub-structures may be downloaded to the controller while not downloading one or more of the sub-structures that were not updated. The method includes continuing to control operation of the building component using the controller logic that now includes the one or more updated sub-structures.

  • Patent number: 10502443
Abstract: The disclosure reveals a human machine interface that may incorporate an electronics module and display, a camera module connected to the electronics module, and an image processor connected to the camera module. The camera module may detect a person at the electronic module. An image of the person from the camera module may go to the image processor that outputs factors about the person from the image. The factors may go to the electronics module that automatically configures the display with a presentation that comports to the factors including style and information about the user. The electronic module may be a thermostat. The display may indicate temperature settings and temperatures of rooms in a house. Contents of the display may be derived from a context based interaction between the person and electronic module. The interface may further incorporate a cloud having analytics connected to the image processor and camera module.
