  • Publication number: 20230319573
Abstract: Embodiments are described herein for transferring a subscriber identity module (SIM) or electronic SIM (eSIM) profile securely from a source device to a target device with verifiable signatures generated by secure hardware elements of the source device contingent on receipt of a secure intent gesture. Trustworthiness of the profile transfer is based on a mobile network operator (MNO) entitlement server releasing a transfer token after verification of a message signed by an embedded universal integrated circuit card (eUICC) of the source device. The eUICC signs the message only after verifying a message from a secure enclave processor (SEP) of the source device that signs the message based on receipt of the secure intent gesture via a secure interface. To validate communication between the SEP and the eUICC, an asymmetric cryptographic key pair generated by the SEP is bound to a unique eUICC identifier (EID) value of the eUICC.

  • Patent number: 11691467
Abstract: An autonomous dock system for a vehicle, comprises a control system with instructions comprising steps for receiving a request to implement an autonomous dock routine. A vehicle speed and clutch position are calculated. A clutch position controller is commanded to maintain the calculated clutch position. An actual torque amount is iteratively detected as transferred across the clutch. A vehicle speed-control mechanism is commanded to maintain the calculated vehicle speed, and the actual vehicle speed is iteratively detected. When comparing the commanded vehicle speed to the detected actual vehicle speed indicates that the detected actual vehicle speed is below a speed threshold, and when the actual torque amount transferred across the clutch exceeds a torque threshold, the control system commands an increase in vehicle speed.

  • Publication number: 20220394443
Abstract: This Application sets forth techniques for managing subscriber identity module (SIM) toolkit (STK) scheduling for multiple enabled electronic subscriber identity module (eSIM) profiles on an embedded universal integrated circuit card (eUICC) of a wireless device, including managing multiple STK sessions at a baseband processor external to the eUICC of the wireless device. To forestall STK communication for different eSIMs from interfering with execution of processes associated with the eSIMs, a baseband processor can schedule STK sessions to avoid overlap and reduce opportunities for errors in handling eSIM processes. The baseband processor can prioritize whether to queue commands for a second STK session for a second eSIM until a first STK session for a first eSIM ends or to terminate the first STK session to handle the second STK session.

  • Publication number: 20220146272
Abstract: A system and method for determining an optimal route between an origin and a destination along one or more road segments is provided. The system includes a controller disposed within a vehicle and configured to determine the optimal route between the origin and the destination. A first data source provides the server with data regarding current and/or future conditions on a plurality of road segments. A second data source provides the server with data regarding actual traversals of the plurality of road segments. The system solves a backward problem to extract probability distribution functions for how each of several factors affect time and energy required to traverse each of the plurality of road segments. The system also solves a forward problem to apply the probability distribution functions, using data regarding actual conditions to determine the optimal route that is optimized for both of time and energy consumption.

  • Publication number: 20220038911
Abstract: Recovering a user equipment (UE) from limited service due to misconfiguration may include providing a universal subscriber identity module (USIM) identification data or a USIM authentication data to a wireless network. Failure data associated with failing to authenticate or identify the UE to the wireless network may be decoded. The failure data received from the wireless network. The failure data may be processed to determine a cause for the failure. Based on processing the failure data, it may be determined that the USIM identification data or the USIM authentication data is misconfigured. In response to determining that the USIM identification data or the USIM authentication data is misconfigured, a recovery for identifying or authenticating the UE to the wireless network may be automatically performed.

  • Patent number: 10785350
Abstract: This disclosure is directed to heartbeat messages for a high-availability redundant distributed computing environment (e.g., a quorum data storage implementation). Heartbeat messages may be sent from a node to other members of a duster as an indication of hardware state, network connectivity, and possibly application status on the sending node. If a member of a cluster (or quorum) goes silent (e.g., misses heartbeats), other members of the duster (or quorum) may consider that member (or the node that hosts that member) to be non-functional and may initiate a recovery action. Techniques are disclosed for using low-latency non-persistent storage for some heartbeat messages (referred to herein as a “non-persistent heartbeat messages”) to replace a portion of typical persistent (e.g., disk-based) heartbeat messages to reduce overall processing for periodic heartbeat messages. Further, implementations that aggregate multiple heartbeat messages from a node into a fewer number of heartbeat messages are disclosed.
