The internal phase of the macro-emulsion includes a delayed reaction treating agent. The treating agent includes a first component and a second component that retain their separate identities in the macro-emulsion and are prevented from reacting until the emulsion breaks. However, poor thermal conductivity and mechanical strength of resin coatings can be problematic in a downhole environment and eventually lead to their breakdown.
