  • Patent number: 7774493
Abstract: A method, device, and apparatus that provide a means for generating a network frame that provides information related to one or more super-channels for data transmission, which are comprised of one or more sub-channels for data transmission, over which the network frame is transmitted are disclosed.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: August 27, 2004
Date of Patent: August 10, 2010
    Assignee: Ceterus Networks, Inc.
    Inventor: Rajendra R. Damle
  • Patent number: 7633971
Abstract: A transport unit is disclosed. On a transmit side, the transport unit includes a payload data unit (PDU) formation unit, a frame formation unit and a scheduler. An input of the scheduler is coupled to the PDU formation unit, and an output of the scheduler is coupled to the frame formation unit. On a receive side, the transport unit includes a distribution unit (which includes a group synchronization unit), a channel resequencing unit (coupled to the group synchronization unit), and a scheduler (coupled to the channel resequencing unit).
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 31, 2003
Date of Patent: December 15, 2009
    Assignee: Ceterus Networks, Inc.
Inventors: Robert K. Butler, William C. Szeto, Robert W. Cantwell, Rajendra R. Damle, Debasish Nag
  • Patent number: 7590150
Abstract: Methods, apparatus, computer program products, and systems to transport multiple variable data rate LAN streams and fixed data rate voice streams through a plurality of variable data rate transmission links used as a conduit for transmission of data between each local area network are disclosed. Incoming data streams are placed within payload data units and distributed among the transmission links, which use a framed protocol. While the frame size for each transmission link varies dependent upon the transmission rate of that link, the number of payload data units within each frame remains constant.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 30, 2004
Date of Patent: September 15, 2009
    Assignee: Ceterus Networks, Inc.
Inventors: Rajendra R. Damle, Troy D. Robinson, Robert K. Butler
  • Patent number: 7586950
Abstract: A system and method for remote management of a network device is disclosed. The system includes a network device controller and a transmit unit coupled to the network device controller. The transmit unit includes a remote management interface queue and a remote management interface. The remote management interface couples the network device controller to the remote management interface queue.

  • Patent number: 7408939
Abstract: A method, system and transport unit to combine and transport multiple variable data rate LAN streams and fixed data rate voice streams through a plurality of transmission links used as a conduit for transmission of data between local area networks are disclosed. Combining both TDM and packetized network traffic into packets for transfer between LANs using a framed protocol for the transfer is further disclosed.
