In one embodiment, a schema specifying the parameters (and the corresponding data types) in the configuration data is examined and a set of management interfaces is generated consistent with the corresponding data types based on the examining of the schema. The generated management interfaces are registered with a management server, such that the management server makes available to applications the values corresponding to the specified parameters according to the set of management interfaces.
