    Abstract: According to some embodiments, a method of improving weld fatigue performance in a railcar weld comprises identifying a railcar weld subject to dynamic loads; determining the railcar weld is prone to fatigue; applying an impact treatment to the railcar weld using transducer coupled to one or more pins, wherein the one or more pins are configured to contact the railcar weld without interference from other portions of the railcar. According to some embodiments, an impact treatment device for a railcar comprises a transducer coupled to one or more pins for imparting an impact to a railcar weld. The transducer and the one or more pins are configured to put the one or more pins in contact with the railcar weld without interference from other portions of the railcar. The transducer comprises one of an ultrasonic transducer, a piezoelectric transducer, or a pneumatic transducer.

    Abstract: A packaged integrated circuit which includes a die 700 having a surface and corners separated by edges. The die surface includes depressions 600, 720 so that mold compound 114 covering the die surface fills the depressions. The filling of the depressions in the die surface enhances the adhesion of the mold compound to the die. The die can include bond pads 714, in which case the depressions can take the form of slots 720 in the bond pads. In addition, the depressions can take the form of trenches 600 at the surface of the die in a dielectric layer 703. The trenches can be at the die corners and along the die edges.

    Abstract: In some embodiments, the invention includes a method of regularity extraction including generating a set of templates for a circuit through computer automated operations on a description of the circuit. The method also includes covering the circuit with instances of a subset of the templates. In some embodiments, the set of templates includes single-principal output templates, where a single-principal output templates is a template in which all outputs of the template are in the transitive fanin of a particular output of the template. The set of templates may also include tree templates. In some embodiments, the set of templates is a complete set of templates given certain assumptions including that the set of templates include all maximal templates of involved classes of templates and a template is not generated through permuting gate inputs.
