  • Patent number: 11909646
Abstract: A congested network link is identified. Applications that are contributing to the congestion are also identified. The contribution of each of the identified applications to the congestion is then determined in order to determine whether the application's usage of the network should be throttled. A control signal is generated in order to indicate to the application that it is to perform an application-specific throttling operation to reduce the network bandwidth consumed by the application. If the application-specific throttling does not sufficiently reduce network congestion, a more aggressive throttling operation is performed.

  • Patent number: 11894359
Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to systems and methods of conductively coupling a plurality of relatively physically small core dies to a relatively physically larger base die using an electrical mesh network that is formed in whole or in part in, on, across, or about all or a portion of the base die. Electrical mesh networks beneficially permit the positioning of the cores in close proximity to support circuitry carried by the base die. The minimal separation between the core circuitry and the support circuitry advantageously improves communication bandwidth while reducing power consumption. Each of the cores may include functionally dedicated circuitry such as processor core circuitry, field programmable logic, memory, or graphics processing circuitry. The use of core dies beneficially and advantageously permits the use of a wide variety of cores, each having a common or similar interface to the electrical mesh network.

  • Publication number: 20240039831
Abstract: A computer-implemented method according to one embodiment includes establishing, for each hop in pathways of a network, a relation between a desired reliability and channel error. Based on the established relations, a maximum number of copies of packets to send from a source in the network to a target in the network is determined. An overhead associated with sending packets from the source to the target in the network is determined for each of the hops, and a first sum of such overheads is also determined. An overhead associated with sending an acknowledgement packet to the source is determined for each of the hops. A second sum is a sum of the overheads associated with sending the acknowledgement packet to the source. In response to a determination that a sum of the first sum and the second sum is less than a predetermined threshold value, the pathways are used.

  • Publication number: 20240035373
Abstract: A method for monitoring gas production in a subterranean formation includes introducing a polymer composite particle having a degradable portion and a non-degradable portion including a tracer into a stimulation fluid and injecting the stimulation fluid into the subterranean formation to a treatment stage of a treatment zone. The treatment stage has at least one opening that the polymer composite particle may flow into and remain inside. The polymer composite particle may be exposed to moisture at a downhole temperature while inside the at least one opening. The moisture may degrade the degradable portion of the polymer composite particle, thereby releasing the non-degradable portion including the tracer. Produced gas that includes the non-degradable portion including the tracer may be recovered from the subterranean formation and the tracer may be correlated to the treatment stage of the treatment zone of the subterranean formation.

  • Publication number: 20240035374
Abstract: A method includes introducing a fluoro-based small molecule tracer into a stimulation fluid, injecting the stimulation fluid into a target zone of a subterranean formation, and maintaining the fluoro-based small molecule tracer inside the target zone of the subterranean formation for an amount of time. While being maintained inside the target zone, the fluoro-based small molecule tracer comes into contact with water at a downhole temperature resulting in hydrolysis of the fluoro-based small molecule tracer to produce a fluorinated tracer and a nonfluorinated group. Then, produced fluid that includes the fluorinated tracer is recovered, a concentration of the fluorinated tracer in the hydrocarbons is determined, and the concentration of the fluorinated tracer is correlated to a productivity of the target zone of the subterranean formation.
