  • Publication number: 20090030444
Abstract: A tunneling device for creating a pathway in subcutaneous tissue of a person's body. The tunneling device includes a member having two ends, where each of the ends defines an insertion surface that facilitates the insertion of the ends into the subcutaneous tissue of the person's body. The tunneling device includes an interchangeable handle connectable to each of the ends. The handle defines a grasping surface and an opening. The opening is configured to receive either of the ends. The grasping surface enables a user to securely hold the handle with one hand to forcibly move the member through the subcutaneous tissue of the person's body to create the pathway in the subcutaneous tissue, and pull a cable of an implant device through the created pathway.

  • Publication number: 20090012552
Abstract: A tool for coring a hole in a portion of a patient's body. A cylindrical sheath includes a hollow bore open at both ends. A shaft is axially movable back and forth within the bore. A blade assembly is attached to one end of the shaft. The blade assembly comprises a hollow open cup portion having a closed end and a cutting edge formed around the margin of the open end. An interface is attached to the sheath which is shaped and dimensioned to communicate with a connector used to connect a medical device to a patient's body.

  • Patent number: 7043961
Abstract: A standard medical or surgical tool's axis is located by attaching to the tool a plurality of a location indicating elements or markers having a known geometric or spatial relationship, and placing the tool in a tool calibrator that supports the tool in a manner that allows tools of different diameters to be rotated while maintaining the tool's axis in a fixed or stable orientation. As the tool is rotated, a marker locating system tracks the positions of the markers on the tool and then extrapolates or determines the axis of rotation with respect to the markers clamped to the tool. The tool calibrator has a second set of position indicating elements or markers with fixed geometric or spatial relationship with one another and with respect to a stop, against which the end or tip of the tool is placed.

  • Publication number: 20020138368
Abstract: A network-based method for configuring air circuit breakers includes receiving air circuit breaker specification information from a user and using a server to compare the received specification information with pre-stored information. The method also includes selecting at least one air circuit breaker that matches the received specification information and displaying to the user information related to the air circuit breaker. A network-based method also provides for selection of a various accessories for the selected air circuit breaker.

  • Patent number: 6234850
Abstract: A terminal apparatus for connecting an electrical conductor to electric equipment. A terminal is electrically coupled to the electric equipment and has a hole formed therethrough. A first securing member has a head and a shaft passing through the hole formed in the terminal. A first conductor receiving area is defined between the head and a first side of the terminal. A second securing member selectively engages the shaft on a side of the terminal opposite the head of the first securing member. A second conductor receiving area is defined between the second securing member and a second side of the terminal. A holder is coupled to the terminal and disposed on a side of the terminal corresponding to the second securing member. The holder retains the second securing member at a position in which the second securing member can be engaged with an end of the shaft when the shaft is inserted through the hole formed in the terminal.
