Publication number: 20250146885Abstract: An I/O module configured to automatically detect a cold junction compensation (CJC) sensor includes a base and a removable terminal block (RTB). The RTB includes multiple terminals. An I/O circuit mounted within the base includes multiple contact pairs, where a first contact is mounted in the RTB and electrically connected to one of the terminals and a second contact is mounted in the base and electrically connected to the I/O circuit. A CJC sensor is mounted within the base proximate one of the second contacts and is operative to generate a feedback signal corresponding to a temperature present at the second contact. A controller in the I/O circuit generates a control signal to selectively connect the CJC sensor to an electrical ground connection. A switch connected between the CJC sensor and the electrical ground connection receives the control signal to selectively connect the CJC sensor to the electrical ground connection.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 13, 2025Publication date: May 8, 2025Inventors: Chia Leong Chin, Rajesh Ramesh Shah, Chee Haw Lee

Patent number: 11763059Abstract: A defect map may be created by merging defects at locations on multiple dies that include copies of an integrated circuit (IC). Layout shapes or nets may be determined that overlap with the defects in the defect map. Next, connectivity between the layout shapes or nets may be determined. The defects may then be grouped into defect groups based on the connectivity between the layout shapes or nets, where each defect group comprises defects that overlap with layout shapes or nets that are electrically connected to each other.Type: GrantFiled: December 17, 2020Date of Patent: September 19, 2023Assignee: Synopsys, Inc.Inventors: Ankush Bharati Oberai, Rajesh Ramesh Sahani
