  • Patent number: 11741078
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for efficiently maintaining a transaction sequence witness service to ensure that requests to read data provide consistent results across all storage nodes in a distributed system. When a storage node receives a request for a data object, the node may obtain—from transaction sequence witness service—the latest sequence number associated with the object. If the sequence number indicates the object has been modified in the period of time since the currently stored version was stored, the node can obtain the current version from persistent storage.

  • Patent number: 10657119
Abstract: A fleet node management system may include a metadata store, a plurality of fleet nodes, and one or more metadata mutation devices. The metadata store may be configured to store dynamic metadata. The plurality of fleet nodes may be configured to determine, based on a gossip protocol, whether to continue performance of a function that uses a local version of the metadata. The one or more metadata mutation devices may be configured to determine, based on a global state of the fleet nodes, whether to modify the dynamic metadata for the fleet nodes.

  • Publication number: 20150196999
Abstract: A strainer removal tool for the removal of a strainer is provided. The strainer removal tool includes a first member with a first handle portion and a first jaw portion. The strainer removal tool further includes a second member with a second handle portion and a second jaw portion. The first jaw portion and the second jaw portion include tip portions with a tooth portion, a recessed portion, and a clamp profile. The tooth portion is positioned radially inward to engage the locking tab of the strainer. The recessed portion of the tip portion includes a cut-out portion to receive the perimeter portion of the locking tab of the strainer. The clamp profile has a radial portion, which overlays the perimeter portion of the locking tab. The first member is pivotably attached to the second member between the handle portions and the jaw portions.

  • Publication number: 20150075319
Abstract: A timing pin module for an engine is disclosed herein. The timing pin module includes a mount end, an engagement end, an adapter, a pin, and a resilient member. The adapter, with a through hole is disposed on the mount end and is mountable to the housing cover. The pin has a longitudinal axis, a first end disposed on the engagement end, and a second end disposed on the mount end. The pin is slideably disposed in the through hole of the adapter and moves between an extended position and a retracted position. The resilient member has a first end engaged with the pin and a second end engaged with the adapter. Further, the first end of the pin engageably retains the flywheel in the top dead center position while extended, and makes sliding contact with a portion of the flywheel that is in the retracted position.

  • Publication number: 20140306472
Abstract: The disclosure describes a lifting system for use with a hoist, comprising of at least one structural frame rail, attached to middle portions of cross members on the opposite ends of the frame rail, such that the two cross members are co-planar. Each end of the cross member is attached to an attachment assembly. The attachment assembly comprises of an extension link and a detachable pin member assembly. On end of extension link is attached to the cross member and the other end is provisioned to receive the pin member assembly. A lifting lug assembly is structured and arranged at the center of the frame rail towards the upper face of the rail, to connect an external hoist for lifting in vertical direction. The lifting system as described above provides an easy lifting mechanism for heavy objects, such as an alternator of the electric drive trucks.
