Abstract: User equipment (UE) measurement gap configuration in a wireless communications system (WCS) is disclosed. Herein, a radio access node(s) (e.g., base station) is configured to provide wireless communications services to a UE(s) in a serving cell. The UE(s) monitors link quality in the serving cell and sends a measurement report to the radio access node(s) in response to certain changes in the link quality. Accordingly, the radio access node(s) may determine whether and when to request a UE measurement gap configuration to allow the UE(s) to temporarily suspend communications in the serving cell and monitor radio links in a neighboring cell(s). In embodiments disclosed herein, the radio access node(s) will request the UE measurement gap configuration only when it is determined to be necessary. As such, it is possible to reduce unnecessary service interruption to the UE(s), thus helping to improve throughput and user experience in the serving cell.

  • Publication number: 20250102075
Abstract: A method and apparatus for actuating rotating valves with fast closing times, high precision, and high force. The invention incorporates a lever arm attached to the valve shaft, accompanied by a housing for one or more cylinder-type linear actuators. A pivot mechanism allows the actuators to comply with movement. Multiple actuators can be attached to the lever arm's shaft, which pivots smoothly with the aid of a bearing. The housing securely bolts to the valve mounting flange, ensuring stability and alignment. A front guard with a position indicator window covers the lever arm, while a rear guard protects the actuators. By enabling longer and shorter strokes than the open and closed positions, multiple actuators can be precisely programmed and synchronized for optimal performance. This approach potentially improves valve actuation, offering enhanced speed, precision, and force for diverse fluid or slurry flow control applications.

  • Patent number: 12206582
Abstract: A system for efficiently determining a set of next-hop switches from a switch is provided. During operation, the system can determine the plurality of next-hop switches for an Internet Protocol (IP) address prefix. The system can then store, in an entry of a forwarding data structure of the switch, a list of identifying information indicating the plurality of next-hop switches corresponding to the IP address prefix. The identifying information for the plurality of next-hop switches can be stored in the list in an order of preference for forwarding traffic matching the IP address prefix. Upon receiving a packet with a destination IP address matching the IP address prefix, the system can select the entry from the forwarding data structure for determining a next-hop switch for forwarding the packet. The system can then determine the next-hop switch for the packet from the entry based on the order of preference.

  • Publication number: 20240325885
Abstract: Described herein is a network and renderer aware split rendering technique that enables a cloud gaming service to split execution of cloud gaming workloads between a graphics processor of a cloud gaming server and a graphics processor of a client of the cloud gaming service. The split rendering technique enables portions of a frame that most vulnerable to quality degradation at low bitrates to be rendered on the client, which results in an improvement of the quality of the final frame that is presented at the client device.

  • Publication number: 20240311951
Abstract: Described herein is a graphics processor configured to perform time based frame predication to bypass execution of a command buffer based on a comparison with time stamps stored in a time stamp buffer that tracks execution time for command buffers. The graphics processors can bypass a frame that will not complete in time for a target display update and trigger neural frame generation to generate the frame data for the bypassed command buffer. Dynamic render scaling is also described.

  • Publication number: 20240307773
Abstract: Described herein is a technique to enhance the responsiveness of gameplay for a 3D gaming application while maintaining the ability to enqueue multiple frames for processing on the GPU. Each frame or a set of workloads within a frame is submitted to the GPU with predication, such that the indicated rendering and resource manipulation commands are not actually performed if the predication condition is enabled. A low latency command can be submitted to the GPU via a copy engine command queue. The command will cause the copy engine to enable or disable predication for command buffers in the command queue. When predication for queued command buffers is enabled, command buffers for workloads that are not related to the workload that is generated in response to the user input are bypassed. High priority command buffers that include workloads generated in response to user input can then be executed immediately.

  • Publication number: 20230407974
Abstract: An improved pneumatic valve 300 employing flexi-seals 302 is disclosed. The flexi-seals 302 are annular shaped with non-circular cross-section and are fitted in peripheral groves in plunger 304 of the valve such that a portion of the flexi-seal 302 projects out of the outer circumference of the plunger 304. As the plunger 304 is moved towards a valve seat, the projecting portion of the flexi-seal 302 rests against a flat surface of the valve seat to close the passage through the valve seat. The flexi-seal design prevents plurality of bends in the flow passages of the valve, results in reduced friction during the linear movement of the plunger 304, eliminates movement of seals over edges of cross holes in the plunger bore 306. Besides the flexi-seals are flexible, do not permanently deform, and do not require lubricating media, thereby overcoming drawbacks of conventional seals used in such valves.

  • Publication number: 20230405525
Abstract: Systems and methods for configuring compact desalination RO systems operable for point-of-use applications are disclosed herein. The compact RO system can include a single RO element disposed in a vessel and connected to one or more pumps in a circulation loop that recirculates fluid through the vessel. The compact RO system can reconfigure, combine and/or eliminate one or more components to reduce a footprint of the system. For example, the RO system can utilize pumps having flow valves integrated therein instead of separate pump and valve components. High recovery ratios can be maintained by allowing brine produced by the RO element to exit the system before passing through the pump. In some embodiments, the system can utilize pulse width modulation (PWM) to change a flow rate of the pump within the system to ensure operation at peak pressure and flow rate.
