  • Patent number: 10846314
Abstract: A method and a system for location clustering for a transportation service are provided. A plurality of locations are clustered into a plurality of clusters, each having one or more locations of the plurality of locations. A graph is generated by connecting the plurality of clusters. A first cluster of the plurality of clusters is connected to one or more second clusters of the plurality of clusters that satisfy one or more threshold parameters. The graph is segmented into a plurality of fully-connected maximal sub-graphs based on one or more connections between the plurality of clusters. One or more fully-connected maximal sub-graphs of the plurality of fully-connected maximal sub-graphs have a set of common clusters. The plurality of fully-connected maximal sub-graphs are used for performing one or more transportation service operations of the transportation service.

  • Patent number: 10846192
Abstract: A request is received from a client device to connect to a wireless network associated with a cloud computing device. A first notification is received to indicate that a first client transaction has started. Using a first timer, a first timestamp associated with a start time of the first client transaction is identified. A first data frame having the first client transaction and the first timestamp is generated. A second notification indicating that the first client transaction has completed is received. Using the first timer, a second timestamp associated with an end time of the first client transaction is identified. Using the second timestamp, the first data frame is updated using the second timestamp. The first data frame is sent to the cloud computing device.

  • Patent number: 10842571
Abstract: Methods and system perform tool tracking during minimally invasive robotic surgery. Tool states are determined using triangulation techniques or a Bayesian filter from either or both non-endoscopically derived and endoscopically derived tool state information, or from either or both non-visually derived and visually derived tool state information. The non-endoscopically derived tool state information is derived from sensor data provided either by sensors associated with a mechanism for manipulating the tool, or sensors capable of detecting identifiable signals emanating or reflecting from the tool and indicative of its position, or external cameras viewing an end of the tool extending out of the body. The endoscopically derived tool state information is derived from image data provided by an endoscope inserted in the body so as to view the tool.

  • Publication number: 20200364194
Abstract: The systems and methods provide for migrating database management system (DBMS) applications to cloud storage by automating a continuous replication of changes made to the DBMS from the DBMS to an associated cloud instance. For example, the systems and methods facilitate the migration of the DBMS via multiple processes performing in parallel —a process to create and provision a new machine instance (e.g., an EC2 instance), a process to clone and transfer parameters of the operating system/software of the DBMS, and a process that backs up and/or captures the application data of the DBMS. In some embodiments, the systems and methods, utilizing parallel processes, and combining outputs of the processes to a synchronization process, efficiently and quickly migrate DBMS applications to cloud storage, among other benefits.

  • Publication number: 20200364158
Abstract: A data processing system (DPS) uses platform protection technology (PPT) to protect some or all of the code and data belonging to certain software modules. The PPT may include a virtual machine monitor (VMM) to enable an untrusted application and a trusted application to run on top of a single operating system (OS), while preventing the untrusted application from accessing memory used by the trusted application. The VMM may use a first extended page table (EPT) to translate a guest physical address (GPA) into a first host physical address (HPA) for the untrusted application. The VMM may use a second EPT to translate the GPA into a second HPA for the trusted application. The first and second EPTs may map the same GPA to different HPAs. Other embodiments are described and claimed.

  • Publication number: 20200367159
Abstract: In aspects of device resource savings during cellular out-of-service condition, a device includes a cellular radio for cellular network communication via a cellular network. The device implements a communication manager that detects an out-of-service condition for lack of a cellular network connection with the device. The communication manager can communicate a notification to collaborative devices that the device is a master device implemented to scan for the cellular network during the out-of-service condition, and the notification serves to initiate the collaborative devices saving resources by switching-off respective cellular radios. The communication manager can initiate scans to detect the cellular network and establish the cellular network connection with the cellular network, and then communicate scan data associated with detection of the cellular network to the collaborative devices that use the scan data to establish respective cellular network connections with the cellular network.

  • Publication number: 20200366763
Abstract: A node may receive a network topology message that identifies a first association of a first segment identifier (SID), relating to a loosely routed segment of a network, and an address of a first terminal interface associated with the loosely routed segment, or a second association of a second SID, relating to a strictly routed segment of the network, and an address of a second terminal interface associated with the strictly routed segment. The node may generate an entry in a segment translation table based on the first association or the second association. The node may route, according to the segment translation table, an internet protocol (IP) payload packet that has been encapsulated using an IPv6 transport header that has been extended with a compressed routing header of variable length.

  • Publication number: 20200363959
Abstract: One or more techniques and/or systems are provided for dynamically provisioning logical storage pools of storage devices for applications. For example, a logical storage pool, of one or more storage devices, may be constructed based upon a service level agreement for an application (e.g., an acceptable latency, an expected throughput, etc.). Real-time performance statistics of the logical storage pool may be collected and evaluated against the service level agreement to determine whether a storage device does not satisfy the service level agreement. For example, a latency of a storage device within the logical storage pool may increase overtime as log files and/or other data of the application increase. Accordingly, a new logical storage pool may be automatically and dynamically defined and provisioned for the application to replace the logical storage pool. The new logical storage pool may comprise storage devices expected to satisfy the storage level agreement.
