  • Patent number: 8930784
Abstract: A high throughput and scalable MIMO detector can use a K-Best detection algorithm to find K combinations of transmit symbols that are likely to be the symbols that were actually transmitted. The K-best MIMO detector can include a plurality of stages, where each stage may correspond to a transmit antenna, and each stage can find K best symbol combinations based on information from a previous stage. To find the new K best symbol combinations, at each stage, a plurality of metrics for potential combinations are computed and sorted by magnitude. The MIMO detector preferably uses a high throughput, merge sorting algorithm to sort the metrics.

  • Patent number: 8930636
Abstract: One embodiment sets forth a technique for ensuring relaxed coherency between different caches. Two different execution units may be configured to access different caches that may store one or more cache lines corresponding to the same memory address. During time periods between memory barrier instructions relaxed coherency is maintained between the different caches. More specifically, writes to a cache line in a first cache that corresponds to a particular memory address are not necessarily propagated to a cache line in a second cache before the second cache receives a read or write request that also corresponds to the particular memory address. Therefore, the first cache and the second are not necessarily coherent during time periods of relaxed coherency. Execution of a memory barrier instruction ensures that the different caches will be coherent before a new period of relaxed coherency begins.

  • Publication number: 20150006406
Abstract: A method for generating a personal identification number (PIN) debit child product for use in performing a debit payment transaction with a merchant entity. A payment processing platform receives a user selection of a financial institution made via a merchant payment page and directs the user to authenticate a user identity with the financial institution. The payment processing platform receives a user selection of a core account held with the financial institution, such that the core account provides financial backing for the PIN debit child product. The PIN debit child product is generated that includes a child card number and a virtual PIN associated with the core account. • Patent number: 8924527
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided that allow network resources to be shared across geographical distances. This can be achieved by changing the resources available for establishing and handling call or data session processing in an area. A mobility management device can alone or in combination with a DNS server change the size or the resource pool available in some embodiments. The change in resources can be dynamic according to certain predefined conditions or can be setup beforehand to account for daily demand. This sharing of resources can allow more efficient usage of resources available across a geographic region, rather than needed to over-provision each region to account for peak demands.

  • Patent number: 8923260
Abstract: Systems and methods for providing identity management and mobility management are disclosed. The management scheme provides mobility in multi-device and multi-homed deployments. A collection of three identities, a device identity, a link layer identity, and a user identity, can be used to provide mobility for a number of devices under different use scenarios. In one embodiment, a method is disclosed for receiving messages from a mobile device at a mobility gateway, the messages including identifiers such as a user identifier, a link layer identifier, and a device identifier where identifiers are stored or retained at the mobility gateway. When a subsequent network attach request is received including one or more identifiers, a reconnection can occur, based on a result of comparing the stored identifiers with the received one or more identifiers.
