  • Patent number: 8527396
Abstract: Methods and apparatuses, including computer program products, are described for negotiating the price for a traded security. A security, and a bid or offer terms, are transmitted from at least one dealer to an investor. An indication of interest in purchasing the security is received from the investor and transmitted to at least one dealer. A first bid in response to the indication of interest is received from more than one dealer. The first bid is stored for at least one period of time. In the event that at least two of the stored bids are tied for best: a tie-breaking request is transmitted to each of the tied-for-best dealers, the stored bid for one or more of the tied-for-best dealers is updated with a second bid, the stored bids are transmitted to the investor, and an acceptance, a rejection, or a counter-offer is received from the investor.

  • Publication number: 20130223226
Abstract: A network switching device has a hardware data plane including a macroflow sub-plane that performs packet-based routing in the network switching device, and a microflow sub-plane that performs flow-based routing in the network switching device. The network switching device receives a packet-based routing rule from a software defined networking (SDN) controller, provides the packet-based routing rule to the macroflow sub-plane, receives a flow-based routing rule from the SDN controller, and provide the flow-based routing rule to the microflow sub-plane.

  • Publication number: 20130223442
Abstract: A network switching device includes a macroflow sub-plane that performs packet-based routing in the network switching device and a microflow routing module that performs flow-based routing in the network switching device. The microflow routing module is separable from the network switching device and operates to provide a data packet via a software defined network agent to an SDN controller. The data packet is associated with a first unknown flow on the network switching device. The microflow routing module further operates to receive via the SDN agent a flow-based routing rule from the SDN controller and route the data packet based upon the flow-based routing rule.

  • Publication number: 20130227116
Abstract: Service data and service management data traffic in a networked computing environment (e.g., a cloud computing environment) may flow thorough a large number of devices (e.g., storage, network, cache and other devices and appliances) when the data move from one or more source systems to one or more target systems (or end user systems). Embodiments of the present invention provide a data analysis driven approach that detects patterns in data movements, and data traffic can be used to determine placement of certain network service components such as, among others, storage devices and appliances, server devices and appliances, network devices and appliances, etc.

  • Patent number: 8521464
Abstract: Systems and methods provide acceleration of automatic test pattern generation in a multi-core computing environment via multi-level parameter value optimization for a parameter set with speculative scheduling. The methods described herein use multi-core based parallel runs to parallelize sequential execution, speculative software execution to explore possible parameter sets, and terminate/prune runs when the optimum parameter value is found at a previous level. The present invention evaluates the design prior to the implementation of the compression IP so that it can define the configuration of DFT and ATPG to maximize the results of compression as measured by test data volume and test application time.
