  • Publication number: 20150215240
Abstract: Communication is provided between a plurality of different service industry systems which communicate in incompatible formats. A message intended for a destination system and in a format used by the origin system may be received from a first system. The received message may be converted into an intermediary format. The intermediary format may be in the form of an extended markup language (XML) file or other document type. A specification associated with the origin system may be used to map data fields from the received message to the intermediary XML document. A specification document associated with the destination system may be used to translate the intermediary document to an outgoing message that conforms to a format used by the destination system. The outgoing message may then be used transmitted to the destination system.

  • Patent number: 8897451
Abstract: Sensitive information is hashed using a hash key, salting key and additional logic. Upon receiving a credit card authorization request with a credit card number (or other sensitive information), the present technology may select a hash key. The credit card number may then be hashed using the hash key. A cryptographic salting key may be selected and salting modification logic may be accessed. The selected salting key may then be applied to the hashed credit card number. After the salting, the salting modification logic may be applied to the salted hash string. The resulting hash output may be used as an index to store encrypted credit card information with authorization information, settlement information, and other data within one or more tables.

  • Patent number: 8867743
Abstract: Information is encrypted using randomly generated information, a multiple step process, and additional secured logic. Upon receiving a credit card authorization request with a credit card number (or other sensitive or valuable information), the present technology may randomly select an encryption key from a set of encryption keys. A randomly generated encryption index may then be generated. The credit card number may then be encrypted using the encryption key a number of times as indicated by the randomly generated index. A cryptographic salting key may be selected from a set of cryptographic salting keys and salting modification logic may be accessed. The selected salting key may then be applied to the encrypted credit card number. After the salting, the salting modification logic may be applied to the salted encryption string.
