Abstract: A computing system receives an image for processing. The image includes at least a player of interest. The computing system executes an image processing workflow for automatically processing the image in accordance with standards set by an organization associated with the computing system. The executing includes removing, via a background module, background pixels from the image. The executing further includes, after removing the background pixels, resizing, via a resizing module, the image to a set size defined by the organization. The executing further includes, after resizing the image, renaming, via a renaming module, the image to a name format defined by the organization. After executing the image processing workflow, the computing system saves the image to a database for retrieval. The removing, the resizing, and the renaming are performed without user intervention.

Abstract: A system and method of publicizing a schedule of upcoming events over the Internet. Visitors to an events website are able to browse various schedules of upcoming events, called events pages, publicize by the entities that are sponsoring the events. Furthermore, such visitors may become a subscriber of one or more events pages that he/she has an interested in. Once the visitor becomes a subscriber, he/she may receive automatic notification via e-mail when the events page(s) that he/she has subscribed to is/are updated or changed. Additionally, if the subscriber has a commercially available Internet-linked calendar or obtains a subscriber calendar, this invention allows such subscribers to automatically update their Internet-linked calendar or subscriber calendar to comprise the events contained in the events page(s) they have subscribed to.

Abstract: A method and apparatus are described that allows a wireless device to detect and initiate communications with a selected second wireless device in a multi-device environment. Initiation of communications with a chosen second device is accomplished by generating a list of all available devices in sequential order according to device identifier and then communicating with each device in a sequential fashion until communications have been established with the selected second device.

Abstract: A persistent host identifier value is used during the automatic detection (e.g., enumeration) of a wireless peripheral device by a host computer system following a power-up or reset operation of the host. Use of the persistent host identifier may allow the rapid establishment of a communication channel between the host computer system and wireless peripheral device. Once a wireless peripheral device has been enumerated, an identifier value associated with the peripheral device may also be retained, and used, during subsequent enumeration and/or binding operations.
