  • Patent number: 11803396
Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure provide systems, methods, and computer-readable storage media that support creation and execution of automated sequences of user interface (UI) interactions. To facilitate creation and execution of automated sequences of UI interactions, an automation engine is provided and includes a model configured to capture image data when creating the sequence of UI interactions. The model may also be used during replay of the sequence of UI interactions. For example, the model may be used during replay of the sequence of UI interactions to locate UI elements corresponding to the UI interactions, or to perform pre- and/or post-validation of action execution. The automation engine may also provide processes to enable location of dynamic content, such as UI elements that may be presented in different or unexpected locations, and processes to address complex UI elements, such as data grids, tree views, and drawings (e.g., CAD drawings).

  • Publication number: 20230221282
Abstract: The invention provides a method for detecting one or more analytes, the method comprising: providing a substrate comprising a semiconductor with a porous surface, wherein the porous surface is coated with a fluorocarbon polymeric coating; contacting the porous surface with a fluid or object so that the one or more analytes are retained on the substrate when present in the fluid or on the object; and analysing the substrate by mass spectrometry to detect the one or more analytes if present on the substrate.

  • Publication number: 20230124519
Abstract: This disclosure describes a secure protocol for communication over a satellite network. On receiving a message from a mobile device that is currently not authorized to communicate over a satellite network, a gateway analyzes the message to determine whether the message includes a particular tag to indicate an authorization override. A message with a tag indicating an emergency message can be forwarded toward an emergency service provider determined based on the current location of the mobile device. A message with a tag indicating a subscription request can cause the gateway to generate and send subscription information to the mobile device, to allow the user to select a subscription and provide payment information to activate the subscription. In either scenario, a secure connection can be established between mobile device and gateway, through a handshake that employs burst messages over the satellite network.

  • Patent number: 11388188
Abstract: Implementations provide automated intrusion alert-based blacklisting with minimal false positives that ignores regular business operations, scalable to accommodate the volume of IDS alerts received by high-traffic internet-accessible networked systems. Implementations identify and block hostile infrastructure IP addresses during the reconnaissance phase based on IDS alert(s). Each IDS alert is automatically reviewed in historical context and triggers IP blocking as necessary. Some implementations maintain TCP/IP handshake records, preventing blocking an IP used to conduct regular business operations on the network that a malicious party has spoofed to avoid identification. Based on the historical context of each IP address within the local network environment, specifically regular business operations traffic versus malicious traffic, the IP address is blocked only if the majority of connections therefrom are malicious.

  • Patent number: 10730443
Abstract: A fastener is provided to be pre-assembled to a substrate. The fastener comprises a shaft having a first end and a second end opposite the first end, and a thread portion adjacent to the second end; a head disposed on the first end; and a unidirectional retention member between the head and the thread portion. The unidirectional retention member is configured to pass through a mounting hole of the substrate in one direction such that the fastener is retained on the substrate once the unidirectional retention member has passed through the mounting hole.

  • Publication number: 20200056853
Abstract: Systems for a firearm are provided to increase safety, reduce complexity, and improve precision of the weapon. In general, examples of the systems including a safe axis firing pin that prevents unintended discharge are described herein, where the firing pin is not aligned with the primer of a chambered cartridge until the user intends to fire the firearm. Embodiments of the system are capable of modular installation and generally include a user-actuated trigger configured to displace the firing pin from a safe axis to a firing axis, by rotation, translation, or a combination thereof. Additional features are provided to prevent displacement of the firing pin by input other than the trigger, e.g., if the firearm is dropped. In another aspect, examples of the systems described herein include a barrel interfacing a slide where the barrel and slide include features to centrally align the barrel as the slide completes a cycle.

  • Patent number: 8910407
Abstract: A handgun forearm support suitable, for example, for target and competitive handgun shooting, includes a grip adaptor configured to engage the grip of a handgun, an intermediate joint member that attaches to a proximal end of the grip adaptor with a pivot assembly, and a forearm brace that rotatably and lockably engages a proximal end of the intermediate joint member. Preferably the locking engagement is hand-operable, for example a joint having mating parts with interlocking radial teeth, with a wing nut and bolt engagement. The grip adaptor may insert into a recess in the handgun grip, or engage the sides of the handgun grip. One or more removably locking pins or screws lock the handgun to the grip adaptor.

  • Publication number: 20140279558
Abstract: Systems, methods and computer program products that facilitate the token-based validation of contactless payment and other transactions involving NFC-enabled mobile devices are disclosed. In an aspect, the system includes a server and field-located validator devices to which consumers can present their NFC-enabled mobile devices in order to validate their purchases/payments. In one aspect, a consumer can purchase an admission ticket to a public transport system using their mobile device which communicates directly with the server to receive a token. The user can later present their mobile device to the validator device to actuate a turnstile. Advantageously, the validator devices do not have to be in real-time communication with the server, and limit the duration between the mobile device's request for a token and the time by which the token expires. Increased security is provided through two-way, token-based validation between the mobile and validator devices.
