  • Patent number: 10991016
Abstract: A method and system for managing a plurality of credit card transactions within an integrated accounting environment. Embodiments of the present disclosure enable integration between financial institutions, organizational accounting systems, and disparate user workflows to overcome deficiencies of the prior art. Specific embodiments enable tracking of credit card charges, credits, and payments directly within an accounts payable interface, enabling the ability to view activity on the credit card account record, register, and vendor record. Methods and systems are operable to establish a real-time data transfer protocol between a financial institution and an organizational accounting application to integrate transaction data in real-time, define vendor association for transactions, and create a real-time credit card register to drive decision making across disparate user roles.

  • Publication number: 20120298006
Abstract: A non-lethal projectile is provided in the illustrative embodiments. An ammunition cartridge includes a propulsion mechanism and a non-lethal projectile. The non-lethal projectile is configured to impair a target without a risk of causing permanent harm to the target. The non-lethal projectile is further configured to detach from a launching device when propelled from the launching device. The non-lethal projectile includes a set of electrodes concealably configured in the non-lethal projectile, and an electrical power source electrically coupled to the set of electrodes, such that an electrode in the set of electrodes is at a positive potential.

  • Patent number: 8261666
Abstract: A non-lethal projectile, and a storage and charging mechanism therefor are provided in the illustrative embodiments. An ammunition cartridge includes a propulsion mechanism and a non-lethal projectile. The non-lethal projectile is configured to detach from a launching device when propelled from the launching device, and includes a set of electrodes electrically coupled to an electrical power source. The electrical power source may be a capacitor, a battery, or a combination thereof, and may be rechargeable. The ammunition cartridge may be shaped and sized for firing from a weapon designed to fire a comparably shaped and sized conventional ammunition. A holder for holding and charging a non-lethal projectile in an ammunition cartridge includes a set of conductors to provide a charging current to the electrical power source in the non-lethal projectile. A charging base may receive the holder and provide electrical power to the set of conductors.

  • Patent number: 7970868
Abstract: A method for delivering content to users from a web site system over a network is presented. The method includes one or more users connecting to the web site system over the network for the purpose of registering as a sending party to provide content to the web site system along with providing one or more smart-tags associated with the content, the smart-tags providing qualifying information about the content, or registering as a subscribing party to request content from the web site system by providing a subscription including one or more smart-tags. The sending party requests the web site system to deliver content provided by the sending party and the subscribing party requests delivery of the desired content. The subscribing party receives the desired content from the web site system over the network when the subscription at least in part matches one or more smart-tags provided by the sending party.

  • Publication number: 20090224547
Abstract: A system and apparatus for harnessing wave energy are provided in the illustrative embodiments. A housing is configured to have a set of openings. The set of openings are configured to allow each of a first flow of a fluid and a second flow of the fluid to enter and exit the housing. Several projections are configured to receive a first force from the first flow of the fluid and receive a second force from the second flow of the fluid. A belt is configured to couple to the projections and move from the projections receiving the force. A set of spindles is configured to couple to the belt. Each spindle in a subset of the set of spindles is further configured to receive a torque from the movement of the belt. A shaft is configured to receive the torque from each spindle in the subset in a cumulative manner.
