  • Publication number: 20250266646
Abstract: A cable assembly includes a contact assembly coupled to cables. The contact assembly includes a contact holder, contacts held by the contact holder, and a ground bus coupled to the contact holder. The contacts include signal contacts and ground contacts held in contact channels. Each contact includes an intermediate section between a forward section and a rearward section. The forward section extends forward of the front of the contact holder. The rearward section extends rearward of the rear of the contact holder. The ground bus includes ground rails connected to the ground contacts each having a front mating finger coupled to the forward portion of the corresponding ground contact and a rear mating finger coupled to the rearward portion of the corresponding ground contact.

  • Publication number: 20250055213
Abstract: A contact assembly includes a contact holder having a central wall separating walls extending from a surface of the central wall defining contact tracks along the surface. A contact array is coupled to the surface and includes inner contacts arranged in pairs with contact dielectric bodies encapsulating portions of corresponding pairs of the contacts. Each pair of the contacts and the corresponding contact dielectric bodies form a contact set. The contact dielectric bodies of each contact set is spaced apart from each other and received in the corresponding contact track with the separating walls separating the contact sets from each other. A shield is coupled to the contact holder to cover the contact tracks and form shield pockets surrounding the corresponding contact tracks to provide circumferential shielding for the corresponding contact sets.
