  • Patent number: 11927362
Abstract: In an embodiment, a method of preventing evaporator coil freeze in a heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) system includes determining a reference saturated suction temperate (SST) via a sensor disposed in relation to an evaporator coil in the HVAC system, where the HVAC system is operating in reheat dehumidification mode. The method also includes determining whether the reference SST is below a minimum SST threshold. The method also includes, responsive to a determination that the reference SST is below the minimum SST threshold, determining a decreased compressor speed. The method also includes modulating a variable-speed compressor in the HVAC system in correspondence to the decreased compressor speed.

  • Publication number: 20230116113
Abstract: The present invention relates to the field of cancer progression. The invention provides in vivo methods for preventing or inhibiting the migration of cancer cells away from the site of a tumour or a resected tumour, thus inhibiting invasion and metastasis, by contacting all or part of the tumour or resected tumour, or all or part of the vicinity of the tumour, with an agent which impedes the migration and/or proliferation of cancer cells, such as a cross-linking agent.

  • Patent number: 11540024
Abstract: A method, set-top box, and non-transitory computer readable medium are disclosed for presentation of audiovisual content with closed captions. The method includes receiving, via an input device interfaced with the electronic device, an instruction requesting a replay of previously viewed video content with closed captioning; sending, to the display device interfaced with the electronic device, one or more thumbnail images of the previously viewed video content to be displayed on the display device; receiving, via the input device interfaced with the electronic device, one of the one or more thumbnail images of the previously viewed video content being selected for replay of the previously viewed video content; and sending, to the display device interfaced with the electronic device, closed captioning with the previously viewed video content starting at a video frame corresponding to the one of the one or more thumbnails of the previously viewed video content selected for replay.

  • Patent number: 9271031
Abstract: A method is disclosed for distributed recording of content in a client system having a home network connecting a content broker and a plurality of set-top boxes (STBs) with digital video recording capability. In a requesting STB, a command is received from a user to begin recording a content item. A query is sent from the requesting STB to the content broker to determine whether the content item is being recorded by any other STB of the plurality of STBs. A response is received from the content broker. If the response indicates that none of the plurality of STBs is then currently recording the content item, the content item is recorded in the requesting STB. If the response identifies a recording STB that is then currently recording the requested content, an internal content list is updated in the requesting STB to identify the recording STB.
