  • Publication number: 20080190510
Abstract: A press fabric for use in a papermaking machine, the press fabric including a base fabric and a layer of fine fibers combined with a polymer reinforcement. The layer being associated with the base fabric. The layer being no more than 125 grams/m2. The press fabric being pre-compacted to a density greater than 750 kg/m3.

  • Publication number: 20060183391
Abstract: Papermachine fabric, in particular press felt for the press section of a paper machine. A papermachine fabric, for example a press felt for use in the press section of a papermachine, has a thread arrangement oriented in the machine running direction (direction of the x-axis). The thread arrangement has regions of different density, i.e. a different number of threads per cm, transversely with respect to the machine running direction (direction of the y-axis). The fabric is intended to have regions of different properties transversely with respect to the machine running direction.

  • Publication number: 20060180292
Abstract: The invention relates to a papermachine fabric, in particular a press felt, having a carrier layer on which, at least in some sections, fibers with exposed fiber ends are arranged, the fibers forming a contact surface with which a paper web can be brought into contact, and wherein the contact surface is substantially formed by the exposed fiber ends.
