Abstract: A system (100) for stockkeeping in an aircraft galley (10) comprises a plurality of receiving devices (16) which are provided for reception in a base body (12) of the aircraft galley (10) and are each provided with a transponder (18) which is configured to emit an identification signal characteristic of the content of the corresponding receiving devices (16). Furthermore, the stockkeeping system (100) comprises at least one transmitting/receiving unit (22) which is provided on the aircraft galley (10) and is configured to read in identification signals emitted by the transponders (18) of the receiving devices (16) and transmit them to a data processing unit (24), the data processing unit (24) being configured to determine, on the basis of the identification signals transmitted to it by the transmitting/receiving unit (22), the inventory of the aircraft galley (10).
