    Abstract: There is described an ink wiping system (100; 100?; 100?) of an intaglio printing press comprising a wiping tank (101) and a rotatable wiping roller assembly (102; 102*) supported on and partly located in the wiping tank (101) for wiping excess ink from the surface of a rotatable intaglio printing cylinder (80) of the intaglio printing press. The ink wiping system (100; 100?; 100?) comprises a wiping roller retracting device (150) which forms an integral part of the ink wiping system (100; 100?; 100?) and is adapted to be coupled to the wiping roller assembly (102; 102*) to move the wiping roller assembly (102; 102*) between a working position (W) where the wiping roller assembly (102; 102*) is supported on and partly located in the wiping tank (101) for cooperation with the intaglio printing cylinder (80) and a parking position (P) where the wiping roller assembly (102; 102*) is retracted out of the wiping tank (101) and away from the intaglio printing cylinder (80).

    Abstract: A printing plate is arranged on a plate cylinder having a channel, in which front and rear clamping devices are located. The rear clamping device forms part of a slide positioned inside the channel and which can move towards the front clamping device. The slide is first moved, together with a rear end of the printing form that is fixed into the rear clamping device, towards the front clamping device. At least one rear spacer is then adjusted to a position relative to the slide that defines a specific distance of the rear clamping device from a second channel wall. A tensioning drive is subsequently deactivated and the slide, together with the rear clamping device, are held in position along the tensioning path by the force exerted by the tensioned printing form, that force pressing the slide against the second channel wall by the rear spacer of the slide.

    Abstract: The invention relates to a method for arranging a printing plate onto a plate cylinder that has a channel in which a front and a rear clamping device are arranged. The rear clamping device is part of a slide that is arranged to be movable towards the front clamping device along a clamping path. In a first phase of the clamping process, the slide, together with a rear printing plate end that is clamped into the rear clamping device, is moved towards a first channel wall, and the printing plate is thereby clamped. In a second phase of the clamping process, the printing plate is released again, and the at least one slide is moved away from the first channel wall and towards a second channel wall. In a third phase of the clamping process, the slide, together with the rear printing plate end that is clamped into the rear clamping device, is again moved towards the first channel wall, and the printing plate is thereby clamped.
