  • Patent number: 5735473
Abstract: A method for avoiding ribbon windings in the winding of a cross-wound bobbin or cheese includes driving the cheese with a drive drum having reversing thread grooves for yarn guidance. A circumferential speed of the drive drum is continuously varied. The cheese is accelerated with the drive drum so that the cheese follows a course of motion of the drive drum with slip. A rotary speed of a drive motor is monitored with a winding station computer. The drive drum is driven with the motor acting as a moment adjuster in terms of control technology. A command value specification of a current is fed to a current regulator through the winding station computer for accelerating the drive drum with a constant preselectable moment and for braking the drive drum with another constant preselectable moment, for generating the slip between the cheese and the drive drum being varied for preventing a match in a rotary speed ratio between the drive drum and the cheese that causes ribbon windings.

  • Patent number: 5453655
Abstract: To securely and reliably hold a high-voltage, for example service-line voge (110 V, 220 V) halogen incandescent lamp within an outer envelope (2), and forming an electrical connection terminal to a screw-in, or straight-wall tubular base sleeve (3a, 43a) of a standard base, for example of the E14 or of the B22d type, a punched sheet-metal element (5, 5', 5", 25, 48, 48') is clamped around a projecting end portion (1a, 20a, 41a, 41a') of the halogen incandescent lamp; the projecting end portion, preferably, is a pinch seal, and the punched sheet-metal element is formed with a lower part and an upper part, in which the upper part clamps around or against the pinch seal. The lower part is partly located within the base sleeve and mechanically, and preferably electrically secured thereto. The pinch seal, preferably, is formed with a transversely extending rib, and the clamping portion is formed with a matching locating notch to ensure axial retention of the halogen lamp in the base.

  • Patent number: 5345781
Abstract: The invention pertains to a device for the cooling of edible foams, where a cooling or freezing system for pre-freezing of the foam is directly outlet-connected to an aeration system, a motor driven extruder device designed as combined deep freezing and transport device is outlet-connected to the cooling and freezing system, in which the pre-frozen foam can be cooled down to storage temperature, and the aeration device, the cooling or freezing system and the extruder device are connected together by means of pipes. The device of the present invention is characterized in that the extruder device has at least one double screw system with two screws positioned parallel to each other with their rotational axes. The lands of the screws of the double screw system scrape against the inner cylinder mantle surface of the housing surrounding it.
