Publication number: 20190129988Abstract: The present disclosure involves systems, software, and computer implemented methods for key pattern management. One example method includes receiving a query for a logical database table from an application. A determination is made as to whether the query is a write query. In response to determining that the query is a write query, a determination is made as to whether the query complies with a key pattern configuration that describes keys of records included in a physical database table that is part of a logical table implementation. The physical table includes records of the logical database table that are allowed to be written by the application. The write query is redirected to the physical database table in response to determining that the query complies with the key pattern definition. The query is rejected in response to determining that the query does not comply with the key pattern configuration.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 26, 2017Publication date: May 2, 2019Inventors: Ulrich Auer, Immo-Gert Birn, Ralf-Juergen Hauck, Uwe Schlarb, Christian Stork, Welf Walter, Torsten Ziegler, Volker Driesen

Patent number: 8683433Abstract: An adaptive automatic change management for computer system landscapes is described herein. A predefined set of attributes are extracted or obtained for a computer system artifact, together with a number of values assigned to the set of attributes. A unique identification section is created and distributed among the computer systems in the landscape based on the set of attributes and the assigned values, where the unique identification section encompass computer system artifacts of a same kind. A modification of an artifact of the same kind is tracked at a computer system. The tracked modification is automatically applied in the computer system to one or more incoming computer system artifacts of the same kind.Type: GrantFiled: June 22, 2011Date of Patent: March 25, 2014Assignee: Business Objects Software LimitedInventors: Shiva Prasad Nayak, Arindam Bhattacharjee, Ralf-Juergen Hauck, Andrey Hoursanov, Pravesh Katyal

Patent number: 8566814Abstract: Described are methods and systems related to transporting one or more object packets present in a nested hierarchy of one or more system landscapes. The object packets available for transporting from source systems to target systems present in the nested hierarchy of the system landscapes is identified. A transport request is generate for a collection of object packets of each source system in the nested hierarchy of the system landscapes. The transport requests are aggregated to render a nested transport collection. The nested transport collection is transported within the nested hierarchy of the system landscapes. The nested transport collection is deployed to assign the transport requests present in the nested transport collection to the target systems present in the nested hierarchy of the system landscapes.Type: GrantFiled: December 24, 2009Date of Patent: October 22, 2013Assignee: SAP AGInventors: Ulrich Auer, Ralf Belger, Ralf-Juergen Hauck, Hans-Juergen Hennrich
