  • Patent number: 6124229
Abstract: Disclosed is a process for preparing a supported metallocene catalyst by introducing, in a first stage, a gas stream comprising an organoaluminum compound, an inert support material and water, into a first gas phase reactor; allowing the mixture to react under conditions effective to form an aluminoxane supported on said inert support material; metering a second gas stream comprising a metallocene into said gas phase reactor; allowing said mixture to react under conditions effective to form a supported metallocene catalyst; and drying, in a second stage, said supported metallocene catalyst, wherein said drying is carried out in a gas phase reactor.

  • Patent number: 5774929
Abstract: A wringing device for a wet mop head of a mop head carrier, wherein the wringing device comprises an elastically prestressed, resilient base element and two wringing rollers that are mounted on the base element, the wringing rollers adapted to rotate parallel to one another and arranged to move away from each other in parallel fashion counter to the elastic prestress force in the base element.

  • Patent number: 5534474
Abstract: The invention relates to a process for preparing alkylaluminoxanes immobilized on inert support materials from alkylaluminum compounds and water, which is characterized in that the reactants are metered with the gas stream into a fluidized-bed reactor and the reaction product is fixed on the support directly from the gas phase.

  • Patent number: 5403942
Abstract: The invention relates to a process for the preparation of aluminoxanes by addition of water to a solution of trialkylaluminum in an inert solvent, characterized in that the water required for the reaction is metered via a mixing nozzle into a static mixer, in particular a jet loop reactor.

  • Patent number: 5288886
Abstract: The invention concerns a method of preparing trialkyl-tin hydrides by a process that ensures outstanding long-term stability.Bis-[trialkyl-tin]oxides are dissolved in a solvent that mixes only to some extent, if at all, with water and converted with an aqueous solution of sodium borohydride stabilized with a base. The product is obtained by phase separation and optionally by distillation. The trialkyl-tin hydride is obtained almost quantitatively with a yield of more than 95%.

  • Patent number: 5256905
Abstract: In an appliance having a relatively low voltage control section controlling one or more AC power loads through switch devices such as triacs, the triacs are gated sequentially within each half cycle such that the peak load on the low voltage control circuitry caused by gating the plural triacs is equal to the load created by gating only a single triac. Distribution of the gating of plural triacs is accomplished through the use of a timing circuit or microprocessor, or RC timing circuits having differing time constants.

  • Patent number: 5144543
Abstract: In a domestic appliance such as a washer, dishwasher, dryer, beverage preparation device or the like having several control circuits driven by varying voltage supplies, the input control circuit is supplied with a relatively low voltage and is electrically isolated from higher voltages within the circuitry of the appliance. An optical isolator is provided in the communication channel between the input control circuit and a power control circuit which is connected to circuit elements connected to the A.C. line voltage. The low voltage supply driving the input control circuit is also isolated from the A.C. line voltage. All operator accessible components are coupled to the input control circuit and are therefore isolated from the A.C. line voltage.
