The indication may then be retrieved from the subscriber database and be used to control termination of a connection to the user equipment.

    Abstract: A subscriber server routes a terminating call in a network that includes a circuit switched (CS) network, a packet switched (PS) network, and an IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS). The server receives a request for routing information in relation to the terminating call from a CS node in the CS network. A determination is made at server based on whether a UE associated with the terminating call is registered in the IMS and the UE has access to the PS network. The server instructs the CS node to route the terminating call in the CS network when the UE is not registered in the IMS or when the UE does not have access to the PS network. The server instructs the CS node to send the terminating call to the IMS for handling when the UE is registered in the IMS and when the UE has access to the PS network.

    Abstract: A mobile network provides first accesses implemented by a first radio access technology and second accesses implemented by a second radio access technology, which is different from the first radio access technology. A network node controls one or more of the first accesses records at least one mobility event. Further, the network node receives a query from a further network node. Depending on the recorded at least one mobility event, the network node responds to the query with an indication whether voice communication over packet switched access is supported for the user equipment.

    Abstract: A method and system for updating or handling the update of a media path between a first user terminal and a second user terminal in a telecommunications network is provided. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the media path includes one or more gateway nodes. Each gateway node includes a gating function for gating media packets. Each gating function has an associated controlling function for controlling the gating function. Responsive to a message indicating at an update of the gating at the gating function is required, the gating function arranges for a new gating to be opened while keeping the old gating open. The gating function determines when the media has been switched to the new path. Responsive to the determination, the gating function arranges for the old gating to be closed.

The method includes receiving a request for the transfer of the session to the CS access. An indication of an already-seized media gateway, MGW, that has been established for use in one or more other sessions over the CS access is obtained from the IMS network. A MGW is selected as a Mobile-Media Gateway, M-MGW, for the session based on the obtained indication. Allocation of resources for the session in the CS access network is initiated, including specifying the MGW to be used as the Mobile-Media Gateway, M-MGW. Transfer of the session to the CS access is then initiated.
