  • Patent number: 12345389
Abstract: An optical device usable as a headlight of a motor vehicle has an optical system in the form of a lens and/or a light source which is surrounded by a housing and which is covered by a translucent, in particular transparent, cover which is connected to the housing. To increase the functionality of the optical device, a PTC heating assembly is configured to heat a space between the housing and the cover. The PTC heating assembly includes at least one PTC element and strip conductors that are connected electrically to the PTC element.

  • Publication number: 20250056675
Abstract: An electrical heating device comprises an electrical heating assembly and a control device adapted to control the electrical heating assembly and a housing base part that is adapted to accommodate the control device. The housing part is connected to a housing cover to form a housing sealed from the environment. The control device and the electrical heating assembly are accommodated in the housing to create a compact design and the best possible EMC protection.

  • Publication number: 20250056677
Abstract: An electrical heating device comprises two heating chambers between which an electrical heating assembly is formed. Via a distributor a flow of a medium to be heated entering the electrical heating device in the inflow direction is divided into a first partial flow and a second partial flow. The first partial flow flows through the first heating chamber, while the second partial flow flows through the second heating chamber. For this purpose, the distributor has a distributing body, which may be configured as a conical bod that is rotationally symmetrical about an axis of symmetry. The axis of symmetry may be parallel to an inlet axis. Alternatively, the distributing body can also be configured as an overflow edge.

  • Publication number: 20250056681
Abstract: An electrical heating device for heating a liquid medium includes a first heating chamber, a second heating chamber, and an electrical heating assembly which is provided between the first heating chamber and the second heating chamber and which is coupled to the first heating chamber and the second heating chamber in a heat-conducting manner. In order to provide an electrical heating device which can be easily adapted to different heating powers and/or operating voltages, the first heating chamber has a first channel section, and the second heating chamber has a second channel section. The first channel section and/or the second channel section form a flow connection between the two heating chambers which passes through the plane containing the electrical heating assembly and the length of which can be varied in a direction transverse to the plane containing the electrical heating assembly.

  • Publication number: 20240142137
Abstract: A heating device comprises a circulation chamber with inlet and outlet openings for a heat carrier, a heating assembly connected to the circulation chamber in a heat-conducting manner for heating the heat carrier in the circulation chamber, a connection chamber with a control unit arranged therein and comprising a printed circuit board for controlling the PTC heating assembly, a partition wall between the circulation chamber and the connection chamber, and a hold-down device arranged on the side of the control unit facing away from the partition wall which interacts with the control unit. For an improved protection of the electrical heating device the hold-down device incorporates measures for collecting moisture, which are configured such that condensed moisture is kept away from the control unit, at least in certain areas.
