The lower part having a bottom wall, a plurality of side walls, and a plurality of dust flaps. At least one of the plurality of side walls has an upper edge comprising a free edge and is arranged between two adjacent side walls having an upper edge foldably connected to a dust flap. The hinged lid has a top wall foldably connected to one of the plurality of side walls and at least one insertion tab. The at least one insertion tab is for insertion into a gap between that at least one of the plurality of side walls with the free edge and the dust flaps of the two adjacent side walls when the hinged lid is in the closed position.

Abstract: The disclosure relates to a box having an inner part and an outer part for receiving the inner part in a closed arrangement of the box. The inner part has a base wall and at least two inner side walls, each inner side wall having a respective inner locking tab abutting the outside of a respective one of the at least two inner side walls and forming a respective inner locking edge. The outer part has a cover wall and at least two outer side walls, each outer side wall having a respective outer locking tab abutting the inside of a respective one of the at least two outer side walls and forming a respective outer locking edge. The inner locking edges are in engagement with the outer locking edges in the closed arrangement of the box to prevent separation of the outer part and the inner part.

The shell can comprise a base layer and a barrier layer extending along at least a portion of a face of the base layer, a central wall for receiving at least a portion of the one or more products on an upper side of the central wall, and a stiffening structure extending at least partially around the central wall. The stiffening structure can be configured for resisting bending of at least a portion of the shell toward the upper side of the central wall. The stiffening structure can comprise at least a recess extending along at least a portion of the central wall.

Abstract: A method for producing packaging comprises providing the shell part that defines an opening, a cavity at least partially formed by a bottom wall and side walls, and a continuously circumferential lower contact surface at a constant height around the opening of the cavity and providing a collar including the circumferential edge flange. At least one bottom tool is structured to comprise aa lower contact surface and a cavity configured to receive the shell part. At least one top tool is structured to comprise an upper contact surface. The shell part is inserted into the cavity of the at least one bottom tool and the collar is placed on the lower contact surface. A barrier film is placed over the edge flange and pressed to form a tray that is filled with goods. A sealing film is then pressed against the barrier film to seal the goods within the tray.
