    Abstract: The invention provides a lifting device for an industrial truck with a load holding device (9) that can move in a vertical direction along a lifting mast. A lifting chain (13) supports the load holding device (9) and a measurement device determines the weight of a load on the load holding device (9). The measurement device includes a force transducer (18) located in the vicinity of the lifting chain (13) of the lifting device. The force transducer (18) is suitable for the measurement of compression forces and is located at a fastening point of the lifting chain (13) to the lifting mast.

    Abstract: A method is provided to control at least one movement of an industrial truck. The method includes determining the lifting height of load holding means (5), determining the weight of a lifted load, calculatiing of the position of the overall center of gravity (S) of the industrial truck, calculating a variable which is a function of the stability of the industrial truck in at least one direction, and determining the allowable scope of the movement of the industrial truck. The overall center of gravity (S) and/or the stability of the industrial truck can be calculated taking into consideration a potential elastic deformation of a lifting platform (6) of the industrial truck.

    Abstract: An industrial truck has load holding means (3) and a control device (6) to control a lifting movement of the load holding means (3). The control device (6) is connected with at least one operating element that can be actuated by an operator for the lifting movement. The control device (6) is connected with a load sensor (5) which generates a signal which is a function of the weight of a load on the load holding means (3). The control device (6) is realized so that an upward movement of the load holding means (3) is prevented if the weight of a load on the load holding means (3) exceeds a set weight limit.
