  • Patent number: 6424453
Abstract: A method for the production of Gaussian intensity distribution in the beam profile of secondary radiation generated by non-linear optical processes, particularly frequency conversion and more particularly frequency doubling of a primary radiation beam. The non-linearly generated, secondary radiation beam is non-Gaussian in profile due to the walk-off effect and has a near field path near the non-linear optical material and a transition field path interconnecting the near field path with a remote, or far, field path. A Gaussian secondary beam profile of substantially circular cross-section is produced at a finite distance from the optical material by providing an optical system in the transition path which, taken as a whole, has no divergence altering or imaging effect on the secondary radiation beam.

  • Patent number: 6317449
Abstract: The invention pertains to a method and to a device for resonance enhancement, in particular for tunable frequency conversion of continuous laser radiation, in particular, with a resonator of mirrors and at least one refractive element. The purpose of the invention is to develop a method and a device of the described type, so that the frequency conversion of continuous laser radiation, in particular, will occur at high efficiency while avoiding the described disadvantages, and so that an improved tunability will be assured over the greatest possible wavelength range with regard to the incident wavelengths; this problem is solved in that a tuning of resonator length is performed by translation of at least one refractive element P. The resonator is formed from a first mirror M1, a second mirror M2, and of a refractive element P designed in trapezoidal shape, which performs the function of a prism.

  • Patent number: 6224187
Abstract: A device for positioning an ink jet print head and a cleaning and sealing device may be used in a postage meter and/or addressing machine for print media guided along a printing window in a guide plate by a transport device. In order to improve printing quality, the print head stationarily disposed behind the guide plate and the printing window is adjustable out of a printing position to be set in a defined way, into a cleaning and/or a sealing position and back again, and a cleaning and sealing device adapted to the print head can be coupled to the print head in a positionally accurate and functionally appropriate manner. The print head is pivotably secured and the cleaning and sealing device is disposed behind the guide plate, but linearly adjustably toward and away from the print head. A common gear for adjustment of the print head and the cleaning and sealing device is driven by a motor running in only one direction of rotation.

  • Patent number: 6152646
Abstract: The invention relates to a device for fixing a plastic housing of an adjuster device for motor vehicles at a fastening point formed by a through hole in a supporting part of the vehicle body. A second plastic housing is mounted on the side of the through hole remote from the plastic housing whereby one of the two plastic housings has a stud which projects through the through hole into the recess with which the other of the two plastic housings is provided and which encloses the stud and whereby the two plastic housings are connected together so that the supporting part is clamped in between same.

  • Patent number: 5461175
Abstract: A method for separating enantiomers of a derivative of an aryloxipropanolamine is disclosed, characterized in that the derivative is contacted with a chiral solid-phase chromatography material containing molecular imprints of an optically pure enantiomer of the derivative to be separated.
