  • Publication number: 20050262222
Abstract: The invention is based on a communication network containing components which use and provide services in the communication network, a plurality of components being able to provide the same service. One component determines the services provided by other components in the communication network. Where the same services are provided by two components, information relating to the output state of the software controlling the services is exchanged between the components and compared. A software update is initialised if the output states differ. If a defined service is activated in a second component by means of a first component, but the service cannot be provided by means of the software of the second component although the second component has the necessary hardware requirements therefore, said service is made available by updating the software of the second component.

  • Publication number: 20050237945
Abstract: The invention relates to a network, in which addresses are assigned to communication components, said addresses allowing the components to communicate with one another. Several communication components comprise integrated search functions for determining the addresses of resources that are installed in other communication components. To determine the addresses, each of said search functions sends a first search notification, as a consequence of which each communication component that has been contacted returns a hit response comprising its address. The search function subsequently sends a second search notification containing information concerning the desired resources to at least one of the communication components that have been determined, whereby a communication component that can provide one of the desired resources replies to the second search notification.

  • Publication number: 20050207397
Abstract: For alternate operation of a terminal (EG1) at at least two communication nodes (GK1, GK2), the terminal (EG1) is first registered with a first of the communication nodes (GK1). In this case, registration is followed by there being a logical connection between the terminal (EG1) and the first communication node (GK1). The obtainability of the first communication node (GK1) is monitored, and in the event of the first communication node (GK1) being unobtainable a status information item relating to the unobtainability is produced, and the status information item is taken as a basis for setting up a logical connection between the terminal (EG1) and the second communication node (GK2). The terminal (EG1) is then automatically operated at the second communication node (GK2).

  • Publication number: 20050102409
Abstract: In a communications network, one component at a time can be monitored by at least one other component. To this end, a monitoring task is issued by a monitoring component, whereby this monitoring task contains the address of said component. Each component, which can be monitored and which monitors, is provided with communications means for carrying out direct data exchange. The monitoring component transmits the monitoring task directly to the component, which is to be monitored and which comprises both storage means for storing the addresses contained in the monitoring tasks as well as monitoring means for monitoring the state. A communications means is used to directly transmit a state to be monitored to the monitoring component at least in the event of a state change.

  • Publication number: 20040014495
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for operating a communications system comprising at least one communications facility and at least one communications terminal. According to said method, a system-specific message (SYS-MSG) that can be displayed on a user interface device (UI) of the communications terminal (TE1, TE2, TE3, MS) and that is sent from the communications facility (PBX) to the communications terminal (TE1, TE2, TE3, MS) is converted according to a protocol for a wireless text and/or graphics transmission and is displayed on the user interface device (UI). When a user inputs a selection (SI), made on the basis of a system-specific message (SYS-MSG) that is displayed on the user interface device (UI), address information (Al) assigned to the input selection (SI) is transmitted to the communications facility (PBX) and is converted into a system-specific message (SYS-MSG) for activating or deactivating a performance characteristic or a service.

  • Publication number: 20030149784
Abstract: The pseudo-ternary S2m data stream consisting of a sequence of S2m frames (S2mR) is transposed into a binary data stream consisting of a sequence of binary frames (BR). The useful information contained in a binary frame (BR) is then separated from the binary frame (BR) and subsequently compressed. In a following step, the compressed useful information is combined with the uncompressed information of the binary frame (BR) to form a compressed binary frame (KBR). Finally, the compressed binary frames (KBR) are inserted into a transmission packet provided for transmission via the low-voltage network (NSN) and are forwarded to a transmission unit (UEE) for transmission via the low-voltage network (NSN).

  • Publication number: 20030107477
Abstract: The pseudo-ternary S0 data stream consisting of a sequence of S0 frames (SR) is transposed into a binary data stream consisting of a sequence of binary frames (BR). The binary frames (BR) are subsequently inserted by a protocol unit (PE) into a transmission packet which is provided for transmission via the low-voltage network (NSN) and is configured according to the time division duplex method and the time division multiple access method. Said binary frames are then forwarded to a transmission unit (UEE), in order to be transmitted via the low-voltage network (NSN).

  • Publication number: 20030090368
Abstract: The pseudoternary data stream is comprised of a sequence of SO frames (SR) and is converted into a binary data stream consisting of a sequence of binary frames (BR). First transmission packets provided for transmission of data in a first direction of transmission (DS) are subsequently modulated in a first frequency range (&Dgr;f-DS) and second transmission packets provided for transmission of data in a second direction of transmission (US) are modulated in a second frequency range (&Dgr;f-US). Finally, the binary frames (BR) are inserted in a first or second transmission packet and the first transmission packets are routed to a first transmission unit (UEE1) and the second transmission packets are routed to a second transmission unit (UEE2) for transfer via the low voltage power network (NSN).

  • Publication number: 20020073192
Abstract: The present invention relates to a distributed communication system including server for executing communications applications and service features for communications installations. Preferably, the system is provided as a private communication system, wherein the communications installations are connected to one another via a network preferably an IP-oriented. The communications installations each have a local software interface which can be used by the server to control the functionality of the communications installation. A central software interface in the server maps the respective local software interfaces of the individual communications installations in a single superordinate logical software interface. The central software interface is used by the communications applications to access the resources of the individual communications installations.
