  • Patent number: 9709331
Abstract: The invention relates to a plant and to a method for the production of cement clinker from cement raw meal, the cement raw meal being preheated in a preheating zone, precalcined in a calcining zone, completely burned in a sintering combustion zone and cooled in a cooling zone, solid fuels additionally being burned in an additional combustion region, a firing region being used in the additional combustion region, the solid fuel being introduced into the firing region where it forms a fuel bed over which a supplied oxygen-containing gas flows, the resulting combustion products being removed via a discharge opening and being used in the production of cement clinker. The fuel is supplied via a conveyor device arranged outside the firing region, in such a manner that it moves the fuel bed that is present in the direction towards the discharge opening.

  • Publication number: 20090098498
Abstract: The system according to the invention for producing cement clinkers from raw cement mix is composed substantially of a pre-warmer for pre-warming the raw cement mix, a calcination device for pre-calcining the pre-warmed raw cement mix, a sintering kiln for firing the pre-calcined raw cement mix to form cement clinkers, and a cooler for cooling the fired cement clinker. Additionally provided between the cooler and the calcination device is a tertiary air line via which tertiary air is supplied to the calcination device. The calcination device is additionally traversed by the waste gases of the sintering kiln and has a calcining nozzle in its inlet region. Also provided are means for setting the cross section of the calcining nozzle, which means are formed by at least one element which is arranged in a rotatable or pivotable fashion in order to set the cross section and which is exposed to the waste gases of the sintering kiln.

  • Patent number: 6877445
Abstract: A chamber having a discharge base discharges an oversize fraction of a material and a fine fraction of the material separately from the chamber. The discharge base for the chamber for the heat treatment of the material is capable of separating the fine fraction of the material from the oversize fraction of the material. The discharge base has a plurality of conveyor elements which are movable to and fro for the discharge of the oversize fraction of the material. The discharge base is also provided with separator openings for separating out the fine fraction of the material. The conveyor elements are of bar-shape construction and are disposed in parallel to one another on the discharge base to be moveable in the direction of their longitudinal extent, and the separator openings are formed by longitudinal gaps between the conveyor elements.

  • Patent number: 5568734
Abstract: Bulk material cooling comprises includes a conveyor having a support surface for transporting bulk material from the conveyor inlet to its outlet. A first material supply chute is provided at the inlet for depositing a quantity of relatively cool material on the conveyor. A baffle is located downstream of the supply chute for leveling the material on the conveyor and forming a uniform thickness layer of such material. A second material supply chute is arranged downstream of the baffle for depositing a layer of relatively hot material atop the first layer. The first layer of material protects the conveyor from the heat of the second layer. Cooling air is passed upwardly through the first and second layer to cool the material.
