  • Patent number: 10807266
Abstract: Slicers for cutting food such as sausage, cheese or meat, for example, into slices. Such slicers, and processes related thereto, may simultaneously slice at least two stick-shaped pieces of food by a cutting blade. The feeding of the food that is sliced may be further improved thereby. An exemplary feed unit (9) for feeding food (10) to a cutting blade (7) includes at least one gripper carriage (20) including a gripper receiving beam (22) and at least one movable gripper (21). This gripper (21) may be operated by a stationary drive, and the mechanical work for seizing can be transferred to the grippers (21) via guides or further drive structure.

  • Patent number: 9272428
Abstract: New methods, devices and measuring devices for slicing food are required for solving problems that occur with existing methods and devices and/or for reacting to changes to the food product being sliced. The devices include a blade for slicing food comprising a blade edge and a recess. The recess has a center point and may be employed for mounting and centering the blade on a slicing device. At least one dimension, D, of the recess is a length or diameter of the recess and preferably is at least 140 mm and at most 450 mm. The blade edge preferably has a radius, R, measured from the blade edge to the center point of the recess. The ratio of R/D preferably is less than 2.0 for every point on the blade edge.

  • Publication number: 20150328793
Abstract: The present invention relates to a cutting blade for machines for slicing food products, in particular for high-speed slicers, wherein the cutting blade is a sickle blade, which rotates about an axis of rotation during the cutting operation and which has a cutting edge that deviates from a circular shape, in particular that revolves around the axis of rotation in the manner of a spiral, at the radially outer perimeter of the sickle blade, which cutting edge lies in a cutting plane extending perpendicularly to the axis of rotation, wherein the cutting edge forms the radially outer end of the cutting surface, which forms part of the blade back side facing away from the product to be sliced during the cutting operation and includes a cutting angle with the cutting plane, and wherein the size of the cutting angle varies in the circumferential direction of the cutting blade. The present invention further relates to a cutting blade grinding device.

  • Publication number: 20150246458
Abstract: The invention relates to a device (5) for slicing several food products (2), in particular sausage, ham, and/or cheese, wherein a respective track (7) is provided for each food product (2), along which track the food product is transported in the direction of a moving blade (11). The invention further relates to a method for slicing at least two food products in two separate tracks (7). Each food product is transported along a track in the direction of a cutting blade (11) by a transport means (4). The cutting blade cuts food slices from the food product (2).
