  • Patent number: 10780555
Abstract: The invention relates to a combination (1) of control cabinet keys (2), individual keys being situated in the same plane but extending at a fixed angle (x) relative to one another and connected via a common center part (4, 5). Due to the fixed connection between the keys, during handling, a torque may be applied to a key (2) that is used. For ease of handling, a first unit (E1) and a second unit (E2) of keys extending at a fixed angle (x) relative to one another are provided, all units (E1, E2) have their own center part, and the units are detachably connected at their center parts (4, 5), and/or the keys are rotatable relative to one another, but only in a respective predefined plane.

  • Patent number: 8479399
Abstract: Pliers (1) as middle cutter or side cutter having plier jaws (4, 5) configured on plier legs, with a work range, wherein the plier legs with grip areas (2, 3) and configured to cross over one another around bearing bolts (6, 7) connected by a cover plate (8) are pivotably supported. The plier jaws on the working region side of the cover plate (8) and the crossing region (K) of the plier legs are configured on the other side of the cover plate (8). In order to improve the handling of these pliers, that relative to a side elevation, on the grip side with respect to the cover plate (8) in the plier legs, a tangential bend (A) is configured in which resultantly created different pivot planes (E1-E1) or (E2-E2) of the plier legs cross one another. The grip areas (2, 3) run in one pivot plane (E2-E2) and in another pivot plane (E1-E1) areas of the plier legs extended on the work range side of the tangential bend (A) run.

In order to improve the handling of pliers of the type in question the invention proposes that relative to a side elevation, on the grip side with respect to the cover plate (8) in the plier legs, a tangential bend (A) is configured in which resultantly created different pivot planes (E1-E1) or (E2-E2) of the plier legs cross one another, wherein the grip areas (2, 3) run in one pivot plane (E2-E2) and in another pivot plane (E1-E1) areas of the plier legs extending on the work range side of the tangential bend (A) run.

  • Patent number: 7503243
Abstract: Pliers (1) operable with one hand have two plier legs (2, 3), which pivot in relation to one another about an engagement bolt (4) and overlap one another in a crossover region. The plier legs (2, 3) are connected by a control element (13) and a spring drive (12), which pretensions a mouth of the pliers into an open position. The control element (13) has two links (15, 16) that are connected to one another in the manner of a toggle lever by means of a toggle joint. A spring (14) pretensions the links (15, 16) into an extended position, wherein the spring (14) can be changed in its length. The engagement bolt is inserted into the pliers legs during a spreading of the pliers legs.

  • Patent number: 6502482
Abstract: The spring mechanism (12) of a one-hand actuated pliers consists of a spring (14) supported on both handles (2, 3), which is designed in such a way that the handles (2, 3) are separated at a distance from each other by rotating the handle (3) and wherein the movable handle (3) of the pliers can be moved by the spring to the widest open position of the jaws by rotating said handle (3), wherein a rotation support of the spring (14) is configured on one side of the handle (2) and the spring (14) rests on said side against a rotational stop (19) formed on the handle (2) when it is not actuated. When the movable handle (3) of the pliers is displaced to a closing position of the jaws in which a workpiece is gasped, the spring (14) is released from the rotational stop only if force is exerted when the cheeks of the jaws (5, 6) are grasping the workpiece.

  • Patent number: 5461951
Abstract: A pliers having first and second plier arms which intersect and are connected to each other by a pivot pin. The first arm is displaceable stepwise relative to the second plier arm to change the spacing of plier jaws with respect to each other. The first plier arm passes through a free space in the second plier arm. The pivot pin is guided in a hole in the second plier arm and is displaceable transverse to a longitudinal plane of the pliers. The first plier arm is formed with a longitudinal slot with profiled flanks. The pivot pin has a first cross-sectional region in form-locked engagement with the profiled flanks in a coupled condition of the plier arms, and a second thinner cross-sectional region which is freely displaceable in the slot in a releasable uncoupled condition of the plier arms. The pivot pin has a head section at an actuating side which enters a recess in the second plier arm in a pressed actuating condition of the pivot pin.

  • Patent number: 5218768
Abstract: The present invention relates to a manually-operated ratchet cutter having a moveable and a fixed handle part, the fixed handle part forming a first fixed cutting edge which is developed substantially in the shape of a circular segment and a moveable cutting edge being articulated on an upper end region of the fixed cutting edge for scissor-like cooperation with the fixed cutting edge, the moveable cutting edge moving in a plane parallel to the first cutting edge and cooperating with the latter, and having a ratchet mechanism which comprises a blocking lever and an advance lever and engages in a toothing developed on the outer periphery of the moveable cutting edge. Furthermore, the blocking lever can be moved into a release position.

  • Patent number: 5014432
Abstract: A center-cutter with cutting jaws mounted swingably around bearing pins, the mounting being formed by means of straps connecting the cutting jaws in the back of the cutting-jaw region and of a tooth-space engagement connecting the two cutting jaws to each other. While retaining the known cross-over overlapping of a single piece formation of handles and pliers jaws, handles cross over without joint increasing the cutting output.

  • Patent number: 4581960
Abstract: The present invention relates to water-pump pliers having two plier handles which cross each other and are connected to each other by a pivot pin 7 whereby the handles form plier jaws above the region of crossing of the handles and grip sections below the region of crossing of the handles, and in which the first plier handle is adjustable in steps relative to the second plier handle to change the size of the plier jaws. The pivot pin is fitted and guided in a bore defined in the first plier handle and enters into form-locked engagement with the profiled flanks of a slot in the second plier handle, where the slot lies in the crossing region of the handles, and, in order to obtain a structural form which is simple to manufacture, favorable in operation and stable in use, the pivot pin is rendered incapable of turning with respect to the second plier handle.
