  • Publication number: 20260181443
Abstract: Apparatuses, systems, and methods for enhancement of data collection in self-organizing networks (SONs), e.g., in 5G NR systems and beyond. A UE may determine, while camped on a cell that does not support SNPN onboarding, a requirement to perform SNPN onboarding. The UE may log an SNPN onboarding error event. In addition, the UE may indicate, to a network hosting the cell, availability of an onboarding error report. The availability of the onboarding error report (e.g., an onboarding failure report) may be indicated via an information element (IE). The UE may receive, from the network, a request to report the onboarding error report and may send, to the network, the onboarding error report. The request may be received via a message that may include an onboarding-ReportRequest IE to indicate the request. The onboarding error report may be sent via a message that may include an onboarding-report IE that may include the report.

  • Publication number: 20260149978
Abstract: Systems and methods for the operation of wireless communications systems using multi-layer models are disclosed. A multi-layer model operated by a wireless communication system includes a coverage layer and one or more data layers. A UE of the wireless communication system is operable to connect to each of the coverage layer and one or more of the data layer(s). In some cases, the UE uses the coverage layer for connection-related communications (e.g., for the maintenance of a connection with the network), while the associated data layer(s) to which the UE connects are used by the UE for the communication of, e.g., user-plane data with the network. In some cases, the coverage layer and the one or more data layers are provided by distinct frequency carriers within a single logical cell. In other cases, the each layer is provided through distinct one(s) of a set of coordinated cells.

  • Patent number: 12635034
Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to discontinuous reception (DRX) transmission. Embodiments of the present disclosure propose a solution for DRX configurations for point-to-point (PTP) and/or point-to-multipoint (PTM) transmissions. In this solution, a user equipment (UE) maintains separate DRX configurations for PTP transmissions and PTM transmissions. During active time for the PTP transmissions, the UE monitors physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) with a UE specific identifier. The UE monitors PDCCH with a PTM transmission specific identifier during active time for the PTM transmissions. In this way, it can match the MBS service quality mechanism. Moreover, it also saves power at the UE.
