Abstract: The invention relates to a sheet-fed printing press having a feeder, a delivery, and at least one sheet guiding cylinder, which is arranged between the feeder and the delivery, has a gripper system, and is assigned a digital printing system and a first sheet guiding system that removes sheets from the sheet guiding cylinder. The object of the invention is to devise a sheet-fed printing press that can be used in a more variable fashion, and with which a particularly wide spectrum of different products can be produced.

Abstract: A sheet-fed printing press has a feeder, a deliverer and at least one sheet guiding cylinder which is arranged between the feeder and the deliverer. The sheet-fed printing press also is a gripper system and is assigned to a digital printing device. A first sheet guiding device receives sheets from the sheet guiding cylinder. The object of the sheet-fed printing press is to provide such a sheet-fed printing press which can be used in a relatively variable manner and by way of which, in particular, a relatively great spectrum of different products can be produced. This object is accomplished by virtue of the fact that the first sheet guiding device is configured for the selective transfer of the sheet to a second sheet guiding device, which transfers the sheets to the sheet guiding cylinder, or for the transfer to the deliverer.

Abstract: Apparatus for protecting the surface of freshly printed sheets which are deposited upon one another to form a sheet pile includes an applicator for applying to the respective sheets a separating-agent layer formed of solid particles of separating agent, the layer of separating agent being formed of a mixture including at least one degradable separating agent substance, an aqueous vehicle liquid, and at least one mixture component which degrades the separating agent substance upon simultaneous contact with the separating agent substance and the vehicle liquid.
