Patent number: 7458794Abstract: An injection molding machine is proposed, especially for injection stamping of large-area plastic moldings, that has at least a first injection mold which has two mold halves and which forms a first cavity with a first projected area, and a second injection which has two mold halves and which forms a second cavity with a second projected area, one mold half of each of the two injection molds being fixed on a common carrier unit. A support means for the two injection molds acts in the opening direction. In order to limit the force acting on the respective cavity, the support means, depending on the respective projected area of the respective cavity, partially take up the clamping force so that a holding pressure force acting on the material which has been injected into the respective cavity is set.Type: GrantFiled: August 4, 2005Date of Patent: December 2, 2008Assignees: Webasto AGInventors: Ralf Schwaighofer, Andreas Lang, Franz J. Summerer

Patent number: 7404598Abstract: In a motor vehicle with a roof opening (12) located in a fixed roof surface (10) and a cover (13) for closing the roof opening, the cover has an at least partially transparent pane (14) and a frame which is connected to the pane and which extends over at least one part of the edge of the pane. The pane (14) is a plastic pane and the frame is formed by in situ foaming (20) of a foam material onto the periphery of the pane, the shape of the pane, in at least one partial area of a connecting region between the pane and the peripheral foam, is configured such that a permanent mechanical, positive interlocking connection is created between the pane and the peripheral foam.Type: GrantFiled: May 19, 2005Date of Patent: July 29, 2008Assignee: Webasto AGInventors: Roland Huebner, Friedhelm Wulf, Martin Pollak, Ralf Schwaighofer, Rudolf Muttenhammer, Andreas Lang

Publication number: 20070264378Abstract: An injection molding machine is proposed, especially for injection stamping of large-area plastic moldings, comprising at least a first injection mold (13) which has two mold halves (15, 16) and which forms a first cavity (17) with a first projected area, and a second injection mold (14) which has two mold halves (18, 19) and which forms a second cavity (20) with a second projected area, one mold half (15, 18) of the two injection molds (13, 14) respectively being fixed on a common carrier unit (21) and for the two injection molds (13, 14) there being support means (22A to 25A; 22B to 25B) acting in the opening direction. In order to limit the force acting on the respective cavity, the support means (22A to 25A; 22B to 25B) depending on the respective projected area of the respective cavity (17, 20) partially take up the clamping force so that a holding pressure force acting on the material which has been injected into the respective cavity (17, 20) is set.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 4, 2005Publication date: November 15, 2007Applicants: WEBASTO AGInventors: Ralf Schwaighofer, Andreas Lang, Franz Summerer
