  • Patent number: 8088316
Abstract: The present invention relates to the perforation of nonwovens with a perforating roll and an opposing roll. The perforating roll and opposing roll form a gap, through which a nonwoven being perforated, is guided and perforated. The perforation apparatus comprises a feed device and a withdrawal device. The feed device is arranged such that the nonwoven being perforated advances first onto the opposing roll, before it enters the gap. The withdrawal device is arranged such that after leaving the gap, the perforated nonwoven remains on the perforating roll. Furthermore, a perforation method and a corresponding nonwoven structure are provided.

  • Patent number: 7386924
Abstract: The present invention relates to perforation device for the manufacture of a perforated nonwoven material, whereby a prebonded nonwoven with embossing points is guided to a nonwoven perforation device, needles of a needle roller engage into the prebonded nonwoven and perforate it, and the perforated nonwoven material then undergoes further processing. A ratio is set between the number of needles to the number of embossed points of between 0.15 and 0.25 and a ratio of hole size to embossed point size of between 0.15 and 0.25.

  • Publication number: 20080032579
Abstract: The invention relates to a spun-bonded non-woven made of polymer fibers. These polymer fibers have a non-circular cross-section and a low fiber count. The polymer fibers have predominant directions in the spun-bonded non-woven. The spun-bonded non-woven has a high optical and/or physical opacity while having a low mass per unit area.

  • Patent number: 7326663
Abstract: This invention relates to a spunbonded nonwoven made of thermoplastic material, which exhibits a filament diameter of less than 1.0 ?m. The filaments are made from bursted fibers, whereby the filaments exhibit a length of at least five centimeters and are connected to one another at discrete points.

  • Publication number: 20060128245
Abstract: A method for the manufacture of a perforated nonwoven, whereby perforation means engage into the nonwoven. The perforation means are arranged on a first roller. The perforation means engage through the nonwoven into a surface of a second roller. The perforation means displace fibers of the nonwoven, whereby the perforation means engage in a material on the second roller, such that said means can displace the material when they engage. In addition, a corresponding device and corresponding materials are provided for.
