  • Patent number: 8572003
Abstract: A method of collecting data used in assessing total cost of owning enterprise computing systems is provided. The method includes distributing, to an enterprise computing system, an electronic data file that identifies, for use by a data extraction tool, predefined data source fields within the enterprising computing system and that relate to costs included in a predefined cost model that defines costs to be included in an analysis of a total cost of owning an enterprise computing system. The method also includes receiving, from the enterprise computing system, cost information aggregated using data extracted using the distributed data file, wherein the cost information is structured in conformity with the predefined cost model. The method further includes using the received cost information to formulate benchmark total cost of ownership cost information that is structured in conformity with the predefined cost model.

  • Patent number: 8002209
Abstract: A fragmentation system including a reaction vessel with processing fluid and fragmentation product and a pair of electrodes. Two respective ends of the pair of electrodes are arranged at a distance to each other inside the reaction vessel and can be admitted with pulsed high-voltage to grind the fragmentation product positioned in a reaction zone. The system also including a solid/fluid separation device, a suspension device to keep the fragmentation product continually suspended in the processing fluid, and a transfer device to transfer processing fluid and a first share of the fragmentation product out of the reaction vessel to the solid/fluid separation device. A second share of the fragmentation product returns to the reaction zone. The system includes at least one return-flow line coupled to the solid/fluid separation device and the reaction vessel to empty the processing fluid from the solid/fluid separation device into the reaction vessel.

  • Publication number: 20080283639
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for operating an electrodynamic fragmentation system. The fragmentation product arranged in the process fluid is permanently suspended and forms a suspension with the process fluid. The portion of the processed fragmentation product which attains the target particle size or smaller is discharged from the reaction vessel and the fragmentation product exceeding the target particle size is supplied to the reaction area. The fragmentation system comprises a chargeable electric energy store, a pair of electrodes connected thereto, and both ends thereof are arranged at a distance from each other in the process fluid contained in the reaction vessel. The fragmented product is separated in a solid and liquid manner in a separator in the electrode intermediate chamber until it reaches the target particle size and is smaller than the target particle size and the prepared process fluid is guided back into the reaction vessel.

  • Publication number: 20050160409
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for configuring software based on the selection of extensions and/or business sets and functions by a user. IA method for configuring software based on the user selection of extensions includes presenting extensions for selection by a user and determining whether the user selection of the extensions is valid. The method further includes performing updates to source code based on the user selection of the extensions and compiling the source code corresponding to the selected extensions to generate a user-specific system.

  • Publication number: 20050071348
Abstract: An enterprise computing system is provided that has computing components that each perform a specified computing function for the enterprise. The computing components also have electronic database storage capability that stores data aligned with a predefined model that defines costs to be considered in a total cost of ownership analysis. The enterprise computing system also has a computing component that extracts the stored data aligned with the total cost of ownership data model, and that uses the extracted data to provide an electronic aggregation of costs associated with owning the enterprise computing system.

  • Publication number: 20050071286
Abstract: A method and program product that when executed causes the method to be executed are provided. The method is included in performing a total cost of ownership analysis of an enterprise computing system. The method includes extracting, within an enterprise computing system, electronically stored data from predefined data source fields included in the enterprise computing system. The method also includes using the extracted data to provide an aggregation of electronically stored cost information that is structured in conformity with a predefined model that defines a cost structure for assessing total cost of ownership analysis for an enterprise computing system.
