Abstract: The invention relates to a detection device (10) for the use in a hag filling plant (100) to detect an overlapping section (230) of a film web (200) between an end of a film web (212) of a film in use (210) and a start of a film web (222) of a subsequent film (220), comprising a first film roll (20) and a second film roll (30), which contact the film web (200) on side areas (202) aligned opposite each other, and form a conveyer gap (40) for the film web (200) with the first film roll (20) being supported mobile in reference to the second film roll (30), in order to alter the conveyer gap (40), and with a sensor device (50) being arranged for the detection of the motion of the first conveyer roll (20).
