  • Publication number: 20110247608
Abstract: A method of subjecting a flowable suspension comprising a biogenic material to a temperature hydrolysis includes passing the flowable suspension through a first downward conduit section. The flowable suspension is passed through a first connecting conduit section and a first upward part. The first connecting conduit section is configured to connect an outlet of the first downward conduit section with an inlet of a second downward conduit section. The flowable suspension is passed through the second downward conduit section. A first flow velocity in the first upward part exceeds a second flow velocity in each of the first downward conduit section and the second downward conduit section.

  • Publication number: 20110251440
Abstract: A method of continually heat-treating a biogenic material in the production of fuels such as ethanol or biogas includes pressurizing the biogenic material with a first pump so as to provide a pressurized suspension. The pressurized suspension is continuously heat-treated at a heat-treatment temperature of from 100° C. to 180° C. in a hydrolysis reactor so as to provide a heat-treated suspension. A temperature of the heat-treated suspension is lowered to below 100° C. The heat-treated suspension is depressurized with a second pump. The first and second pumps are configured to maintain at least one of the pressurized suspension and the heat-treated suspension at a pressure of above 5 bar.

  • Publication number: 20090008967
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and a device for controlling the displacement process of a hood system. According to the invention the following steps are provided: provision of a first number of position sensors (20-22,25,26) to determine the actual position of the hood system, the first number of position sensors being greater than a second number of position sensors which are required as a minimum for determining the position of the hood system, determination of a third number of functioning position sensors, from the first number of position sensors, comparison of the first number with the third number and movement of the hood system into a defined position so long as the third number is less than the first number.

  • Patent number: 6359577
Abstract: An apparatus for signal processing discrete-time values for signal-sampling systems, such as digital/analog converters, switched capacitor filters, direct digital synthesizers, sample-and-hold circuits and the like, having means for producing discrete-time values and means for processing discrete-time values into analog values, is distinguished in that at least one group of at least two signal-sampling systems, which, in particular, have the same input signals applied to them, is of parallel-connected design, means are provided for producing sampling frequencies with a shifted phase angle and for driving the respective sampling system with a shifted phase angle for the particular frequency produced, means are provided for summing the signals from the signal-sampling systems, and means are provided for further processing/converting the summed signals from the sampling systems into analog signals.
