  • Patent number: 8518274
Abstract: A filter device operating method involves a plurality of filter elements (21) received in a filter housing having a filter inlet for a fluid to be filtered and a filter outlet for the filtered fluid. Flow through the filter elements (21) is possible in both directions for filtration or backwashing. Because the shut-off element (41) is a fast-closing plate valve (43) actuated by a hydraulic piston (53) and blocks the fluid connection so quickly, a feeding effect is created in the manner of a pressure blow on the backwashed filter element (21). The feeding effect increases the cleaning of pollution on the filter element (21), achieving an improved backwashing cleaning.

  • Patent number: 8298421
Abstract: A filter device for the insertion of filter elements (28) to be positioned in a filter housing (10) having a filter inlet (20) and a filter outlet (22) for the fluid to be filtered. The filter elements (28) are traversed in both directions for filtration or backwashing. Certain filter elements (28) perform the filtration in a filtration position and at least one additional filter element (28) can be backwashed in a backwashing position to clean its active filtration surface. As the individual filter elements (28) are brought into the backwashing position and are then returned to their filtration position in succession by a pivoting device (30), the filter elements are individually displaced into the backwashing position in a temporal sequence, in contrast to prior art, where an arm-type backwashing device is pivoted towards the individual filter elements to carry out the backwashing process.

  • Publication number: 20120211410
Abstract: The invention relates to a filter device, in particular for fluids such as hydraulic oil, lubricating media, processing, surface or sea water, having at least one filter element (3) that has at least one effective filter surface (23), which is suitable for removing contaminants from a media flow crossing the filter surface, wherein an effective filter surface is designed as a flexible filter sock (23) that can be pulled onto a support body (13) of the filter element (3). The invention is characterized in that the filter sock (23), while enlarging the effective filter surface thereof, is designed to be longer in the axial direction of the filter element (3) such that the effective filter surface lies in folds upon pulling the filter sock (23) over the support body (13).

  • Patent number: 8202422
Abstract: A fluid system for a pump circuit (10), in particular a hydraulic high-pressure pump circuit, has a function block (12). In the housing of the function block, fluid-conducting paths extend and are connected to valve components (32, 46) at least partially. A filter device is an at least partially integrated constituent part of the function block of the fluid system. The filter device (46) with its filter housing (56) can be connected to the function block (12) such that at least one filter element (70) is received in the installation space (72) of the function block.

  • Patent number: 8048181
Abstract: A filter apparatus deposits impurities from a fluid stream by use of a filter element (10) accommodated in a filter casing (12). The filter casing (12) has a swirl space (14) such that the fluid stream to be filtered is conducted at least partly in a swirling flow around the filter element (10). The properties of a cyclone are utilized for the actual filtration operation to the extent that the swirl space of the filter casing brings about multiple deflection of the direction of motion of the fluid to be filtered.

  • Publication number: 20100146916
Abstract: The invention relates to a filter apparatus for depositing impurities from a fluid stream by means of use of a filter element (10) which is accommodated in a filter casing (12). By virtue of the filter casing (12), according to the characterizing part of claim 1, having a swirl space (14) such that the fluid stream to be filtered is conducted at least partly in a swirling flow around the filter element (10), the properties of a cyclone are utilized for the actual filtration operation to the extent that the swirl space of the filter casing brings about multiple deflection of the direction of motion of the fluid to be filtered.

  • Patent number: 7681739
Abstract: A filter device includes a filter housing (10), a filter inlet (12), a filter outlet (14), and a filter element (16). The filter element divides a filter area (18) into two partial areas (20, 22). One partial filter areas is conical in form with the cross-section of that partial area (20) being tapered from the filter inlet (12) to the filter outlet (14). The partial areas are separated from each other by the filter element. This arrangement results in an optimum residence time distribution inside the filter device at a uniform flow rate, which is particularly useful for highly viscous fluids such as polymer melts or similar.

  • Patent number: 7396460
Abstract: A filter element (8), especially for use in backwash filtering systems, includes a filtering element through which a contaminated fluid flows in at least one direction (24). An intercepting device (62) has at least one rod-shaped permanent magnet or electromagnet (64) that at least partially removes magnetizable, especially ferritic portions from the fluid, before the fluid flows through the filtering element. A detaching device (68) removes the magnetizable portions from the intercepting device (62). The detaching device (68) is configured by a stripper ring (70) that travels along the rod-shaped magnet (64) and removes the portions retained by the intercepting device (62). When the filtering element is backwashed, the stripper ring (70), moved by the fluid flow, detaches the portions retained by the intercepting device (62).
