    Abstract: A method of treating peripheral bronchopleural fistula using a collagen matrix hemostatic pad. The method includes the following steps: (1) selecting a peripheral bronchopleural fistula; (2) selecting a collagen matrix hemostatic pad having sufficient size to cover the fistula; (3) aligning the collagen matrix hemostatic pad completely over the fistula; and (4) securing the collagen matrix hemostatic pad to the tissue sorrounding the fistula.
