  • Patent number: 6065189
Abstract: A handle for transporting carts having wheels and used in transporting various articles, equipment, components, and other items. The cart handle includes an upper central generally horizontally disposed portion and hand grip sections extending generally downwardly therefrom at an obtuse angle from each end of the central portion. At the lower end of the hand grip sections attachment sections extend between and connect the hand grip sections to a back wall of the cart. The central horizontally disposed portion and hand grip sections are coplanar and are in a plane located at an acute angle with respect to a vertical plane. The hand grip sections extend downwardly at an obtuse angle with respect to the central horizontally disposed portion. The central portion, hand grip sections and attachment sections are made by bending tubing material and are integrally connected with one another.

  • Patent number: 5596892
Abstract: A drum lockout device has a locking head with threaded plug portions for engaging either the smaller vent opening or the larger dispensing opening of a drum. When the locking head is in place, a locking key is inserted through the locking head to engage the drum end and drum flange. • Patent number: 5303968
Abstract: An apparatus for lifting a cylindrical barrel includes a first arm having a lifting frame at one end and a chime gripping arch at the other end. A second arm is pivotally connected at one end thereof to the lifting frame and includes a second chime gripping arch at its other end. During operation, the chime gripping arches are placed on the barrel outer surface just under the barrel chime and by lifting the lifting frame, the two chime gripping arches are forced toward one another and against the barrel surface just under the chime. A locking arm is pivotally connected to the first arm and is selectively pivotable for engaging the second arm and creating a locking triangle. The locking arm effectively, selectively locks the first and second arms with respect to each other preventing radial movement thereof and preventing movement of the chime gripping arches away from the barrel.

  • Patent number: 4209869
Abstract: A lifting lever is rotatably mounted on at least one side of a dockboard for movement to a raised position for raising and holding one end of the dockboard above a loading dock or the like so that the forks of a lift truck or the like can be positioned under the dockboard to move it. The combination of the locations of the pivot point for the lever, a roller on the lever and a lever stop on the dockboard provide an over-center lock in the raised position of the lever and an automatic return of the lever to the lower position upon lifting of the dockboard by a forklift truck or similar vehicle. In one embodiment of the invention, the bearing roller engages the loading dock to lift the dockboard as the lever is moved to the raised position. In a second embodiment, the bearing roller engages a lifting arm pivotally mounted on the dockboard to move one end of the arm into engagement with the loading dock to lift the dockboard.
