  • Patent number: 11958153
Abstract: In a method for operating a machine tool, a machine-specific flow resistance and a respective tool-specific flow resistance are ascertained for various tools. Tool-specific regulator parameters for regulating a pump of a coolant lubricant device are computed on the basis of the machine-specific flow resistance and the tool-specific flow resistance of the tool chucked in a tool spindle. Subsequently, the machine tool is operated using the tool-specific regulator parameters. In this way, a rapid and exact feed of coolant lubricant to the machining point of the respective chucked tool is enabled in a simple and flexible manner.

  • Publication number: 20160108326
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for improving the cold flow properties of diesel are described. The methods include hydrocracking a hydrocarbon feed to provide a reactor effluent comprising a product mixture comprising diesel, kerosene, and naphtha, and unconverted feed. The reactor effluent is separated in an enhanced hot separator into an overhead vapor stream comprising the product mixture and a liquid bottoms stream comprising the unconverted feed. The overhead vapor stream is contacted with a dewaxing catalyst in a finishing reaction zone to convert a portion of n-paraffins in the product mixture to iso-paraffins. The effluent from the finishing reaction zone is separated in a high pressure separator into an overhead stream comprising gases and a liquid stream comprising the product mixture. The liquid stream from the high pressure separator is separated into at least a diesel stream in a fractionation zone.

  • Publication number: 20090228137
Abstract: A method is provided for testing the fit or for testing the imbalance of a tool exchangeably accommodated in a tool spindle which is mounted for rotation about a central longitudinal axis and is rotationally driven by a spindle drive motor, including: inserting the tool on the tool spindle; making the tool spindle rotate with a specific rotational frequency fdef about the central longitudinal axis by means of the spindle drive motor; analyzing an actual value of a controlled drive current of the spindle drive motor with respect to a frequency component with the rotational frequency fdef; and determining whether the frequency component with the rotational frequency fdef lies within a threshold value range.

  • Publication number: 20070193070
Abstract: Footwear with an embedded tracking device includes a sole and an upper. The tracking device is disposed in a cavity formed in the top surface of the sole. A wireless communication antenna and/or a location signal antenna is disposed on the upper. The antenna(s) is/are connected to the tracking device via a flexible circuit substrate. In a particular embodiment, the location signal antenna is a passive, directional GPS antenna supported in an upwardly facing position in the heel portion of the upper. A method for manufacturing footwear with an embedded tracking device is also disclosed. The method includes providing a footwear upper, incorporating an antenna in the footwear upper, providing a footwear sole, fixing the footwear upper to the footwear sole, incorporating a tracking device into the footwear sole, and connecting the tracking device to the antenna.

  • Patent number: 5275724
Abstract: An apparatus and a system are provided for delivering a peritoneal dialysis solution to a patient. A connector containing a first set of conduit segments and a loader containing a second set of conduit segments are mated together such as with a mating set of tracks and slots so that the two sets of conduit segments form a plurality of conduits that are each sealed from the other conduits. The loader is provided with a device for mating the conduit segments together in sealed relationship such as an eccentrically mounted rotatable cylinder and a platen in contact with the cylinder. The apparatus permits delivery of the dialysis solution to the patient and removal of the solution subsequently from the patient.

  • Patent number: 4902282
Abstract: A flow set for administering peritoneal dialysis solution in automated peritoneal dialysis which comprises interconnecting flow conduits for connecting respectively with (1) a patient's catheter, (2) a container for warming dialysis solution, (3) a drain line, and (4) a source of dialysis solution. The flow conduit (4) for connecting with the source of dialysis solution defines at least three branching conduits having connectors on their respective ends for communication with separate containers of dialysis solution. In accordance with this invention, means are provided for causing the flow path resistance through the conduit (4) of the respective flow paths passing through each of said branch conduits to be substantially equal.
