Patent number: 11958153Abstract: In a method for operating a machine tool, a machine-specific flow resistance and a respective tool-specific flow resistance are ascertained for various tools. Tool-specific regulator parameters for regulating a pump of a coolant lubricant device are computed on the basis of the machine-specific flow resistance and the tool-specific flow resistance of the tool chucked in a tool spindle. Subsequently, the machine tool is operated using the tool-specific regulator parameters. In this way, a rapid and exact feed of coolant lubricant to the machining point of the respective chucked tool is enabled in a simple and flexible manner.Type: GrantFiled: June 6, 2018Date of Patent: April 16, 2024Assignee: MAG IAS GMBHInventors: Ralph Davis, Horst Fondy, Jürgen Menze

Publication number: 20160108326Abstract: Methods and apparatus for improving the cold flow properties of diesel are described. The methods include hydrocracking a hydrocarbon feed to provide a reactor effluent comprising a product mixture comprising diesel, kerosene, and naphtha, and unconverted feed. The reactor effluent is separated in an enhanced hot separator into an overhead vapor stream comprising the product mixture and a liquid bottoms stream comprising the unconverted feed. The overhead vapor stream is contacted with a dewaxing catalyst in a finishing reaction zone to convert a portion of n-paraffins in the product mixture to iso-paraffins. The effluent from the finishing reaction zone is separated in a high pressure separator into an overhead stream comprising gases and a liquid stream comprising the product mixture. The liquid stream from the high pressure separator is separated into at least a diesel stream in a fractionation zone.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 16, 2014Publication date: April 21, 2016Inventors: Ralph Davis, Jennifer L. Davis, Vernon L. Mallett

Publication number: 20070193070Abstract: Footwear with an embedded tracking device includes a sole and an upper. The tracking device is disposed in a cavity formed in the top surface of the sole. A wireless communication antenna and/or a location signal antenna is disposed on the upper. The antenna(s) is/are connected to the tracking device via a flexible circuit substrate. In a particular embodiment, the location signal antenna is a passive, directional GPS antenna supported in an upwardly facing position in the heel portion of the upper. A method for manufacturing footwear with an embedded tracking device is also disclosed. The method includes providing a footwear upper, incorporating an antenna in the footwear upper, providing a footwear sole, fixing the footwear upper to the footwear sole, incorporating a tracking device into the footwear sole, and connecting the tracking device to the antenna.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 6, 2006Publication date: August 23, 2007Inventors: Patrick Bertagna, Ralph Davis, Christopher Walsh, Gregg Schilawski, James Cohen, Dongeun Lim, Gregory Provenzano, Alexander Stricker

Patent number: 5275724Abstract: An apparatus and a system are provided for delivering a peritoneal dialysis solution to a patient. A connector containing a first set of conduit segments and a loader containing a second set of conduit segments are mated together such as with a mating set of tracks and slots so that the two sets of conduit segments form a plurality of conduits that are each sealed from the other conduits. The loader is provided with a device for mating the conduit segments together in sealed relationship such as an eccentrically mounted rotatable cylinder and a platen in contact with the cylinder. The apparatus permits delivery of the dialysis solution to the patient and removal of the solution subsequently from the patient.Type: GrantFiled: December 10, 1991Date of Patent: January 4, 1994Assignee: Millipore CorporationInventors: Richard Bucchianeri, Ralph Davis, Arthur Leuders, Mark Senninger
